Regardless, I agree with his argument about the unneeded "stimulus."
The spending frenzy whipped up by media manipulation is a travesty. The power of the boob tube has never been more hideous. We are, in fact, slaves to the power of television, and the vapid teleprompter readers who serve the interests of whatever network one wishes to mention.
Democrats won the Trifecta in November elections. You bet they will do anything they want, regardless of results.
Well laid out and thoughtfully written. Couldn’t have done better myself.
It is unlikely our children will ever see Dow 36000, given the current “stimulus”.
The job loss accelerated, the DOW dumped, and consumer confidence tanked, all after the Nove election. Seems Obama can’t make the connection. It’s him.
I think leftists need the economy to stay bad in order to keep garnering more and more power over the failed ‘private sector’

Be happy, worried liberals. Obama’s bill is a triumph
Michael Tomasky in Washington The Guardian, Monday 9 February 2009 Article historyWell, it’s already happened. Barely two weeks into the job and President Barack Obama has compromised fundamental principles, timorously caved in to Republicans and conservative Democrats in the Senate and lost control of his agenda.
Or ... wait. Maybe it’s the case that, a mere two weeks into the job, President Obama has already changed the country’s direction in remarkable ways. He’s on the verge of a massive political victory when the Senate passes the stimulus package tomorrow, as expected, and the Republicans are apoplectic and divided and intellectually bankrupt.
... its impending passage sets the country on a dramatically different course to the one it’s pursued over the last eight years (the last 30, really). To me, that’s hardly a stinker. In fact, it smells rather nice. I love the smell of stimulus spending in the morning. It smells like ... victory.

Yes, they are very happy...(read post #7 ), they are saying proudly that for the first time in 30 years.....government will have a chance to prove itself.
Sick commie vampires.
ask them to name a rich socialist country
America is now Europe.
Buy a bunker, start to hunker, hold close your guns and your loved ones. They’re coming to take us away!
yes, but the bunkers will have internet, shortwave and places to shoot out of
Yet we will being paying for it for decades to come.
We have a massive debt problem and the Dems solution is more debt...
Maybe one day voters will figure it out, but not likely anytime soon. Meanwhile as individuals we have to figure out how to survive and maybe prosper in spite of it all...

Japan's economy has NOT YET returned to its level of 1990.
The economy needs to reset at a level that will make it possible for young poeple to buy homes at a traditional multiple of their income, and for Mom-and-Pop businesses to rent spaces at Shopping Centers again, as they did up through the 1980s.

The economy works. Economy is actually home management and most people do well for themselves. The problem is the government and its ridiculous interventions. 40% of the price of an LA home is from zoning and building code restrictions. Subprime mostly works for the 90+% who are still paying. Government incentives created the crime (mortgage fraud) and welfare attitude across the board. Now we have more of the same on steroids.
