The problem is twofold.

1) they are trying to create work as opposed to actual careers/jobs

and...

What our representatives don't know or care is -- walk through any Home Depot or Lowes and look at all the jobs affected by the collapse of the housing market and look at those jobs and their suppliers and so on and so forth. The key to this recovery is not creating ditch diggers, it is creating well-paying AMERICAN jobs so people can afford to buy a home, remodel their homes, and all that industry implies.... from the architects to the framer and everything in between... and, yes, even the banker and mortgage broker.

Reverse Petition: Stand Strong FOR Rush Limbaugh
To:The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee

Stop distorting Rush Limbaugh’s comments about President Obama’s war on prosperity.

I agree with Rush’s assessment that President Obama’s far left liberal vision for America is bad for America, and I too, hope that he fails, because when liberalism fails, America wins.

I can't argue with a thing you said.

There are so many reasons for the mess we're in and IMHO it can all be laid at the Government's feet. They exist to create problems so they can be the hero's to ride to the rescue. I truly believe it is going to take a disaster of monumental proportions to wake up the idiots in this Country, and even that may not work. I really don't know what the solution is anymore.

More and more it is becoming apparent that this "stimulus bill" is nothing more that a takeover of Capitalism so it can be destroyed and there is nothing we can do about it.

Sorry so negative.

I agree with you... so not negative at all... yet we have people today deamonizing Michael Steele and saying they will never vote for a Republican candidate again... so go figure! When our own party — or people who “claim” to be on our side of the equation are so narrow-minded it gives O a silver platter on which to serve up is Marxist plans.

Obama, Dems continue Rush Limbaugh attacks

This is crazy.

Did Bush EVER attack a liberal talk show personality (if you can call them that) in a concentrated manner?

I have news for Obama and the RATS, Limbaugh may be a big target, but he pretty much says what a lot of people already think. He isn't somehow leading people around and you can stop it by getting rid of him.

In my view, the Republicans of today are the Dems of the 90's. It seems the only reason they exist is to slow down the inevitable move to the left. (paraphrase, Ayn Rand)

With the exception of Hunter, Tancredo or even Tom McClintock, I haven't seen one out there that won't compromise priciples for their own benefit but we're told they can't win.

I like Michael Steele and want to see how he grows into his new position. There is no doubt we have a monumental task ahead of us if we are going to turn this Country around, and it's going to take at least a generation, if not two. That's if it can even be done at all.

I do not believe we can keep supporting politicians (RINOS) that are just slowing the movement to the left down, we need someone who can turn it around, we'll see what Steele does.

Tom McClintock is a great guy, but look how difficult it became for him to get elected in California. I believe the environement in CA is going to get even worse and the real issue is to keep it from creeping further into NV or taking holdl here in AZ where we are still an R state; they already took over CO and NM.

I know, I'm a native Californian, I've been here in Vegas just about 8 years now. I lived in Thousand Oaks, where Tom McClintock is from back in the 70's. It used to be a very conservative area. The demographics are changing everywhere as we have been pumping out brain dead robots from our Government controlled edumacation camps for too long now.

Nevada was a red state up until this year. If you're not in Vegas or Reno, the rest of the state is pretty much conservative, it's always the big cities that rule and have the libs in them.

My dad's been in the Phoenix area since the early 90's and we've had many a discussion regarding the political shift there too

Of course we always trade barbs as to who is worse, Reid or McCain. Then there was always Napolitano.

Who's going to replace her anyway?

Our new governor is Jan Brewer, a Republican.. just approved our 2009 budget and cut spending in the state instead of raising taxes.

I think Las Vegas is a tough nut because so many people move there from all over the country and I worry about their ideology along with the strength of the unions there... but I know from someone who lives in Henderson, ACORN was a huge issue this election in Nevada.

Oh, I forgot== we moved to AZ from Orange County — also a Conservative haven at one time.

Radio and television ads are being launched by MoveOn.org and other organizations condemning Limbaugh's opinion that such government spending is wrong, and then linking Republican lawmakers to Limbaugh through their opposition to Obama's massive $1 trillion "stimulus" plan.
