I would have loved if it was Blackwell too. I’m just happy he is a conservative. Not some fair weather conservative. This is a man who has been tested. Being a black conservative is not a small accomplishment in and of itself. Not that race should ever be the primary concern. I do notice the press trying to down play his selection and try to label him a moderate which is laughable.

Perhaps he could start by not using liberal terminology

Yep, the more I think about that, the more suspicious I am about him. VERY CLOSE watching. Why didn't they bring this up before they elected him. Sheesh! Hey for any moonbat DU or KOS readers, it's NOT assault weapon. It's a semi auto rifle or semi auto shotgun or semi auto pistol. Try one, it won't bite and see how much fun and how accurate it is. A day at the range would do those as*h*les some good, release some of that crazy moonbat tension and anger.

Good for you.

He’s from Maryland.

He’s African-American.

He’s unknown.

What a waste.

Some good folks, but not a conservative heavyweight in the bunch. They ALL have something to prove. That includes Michael Steele, the man who supports Roe v Wade.

Is it? He seems like a classic East-Coast moderate to me!

Thanks sitetest,

You must be happy Steele is Chairman though. It’s good to have a prolife conservative who can COMMUNICATE.

Regards

Steele’s sister is Dr. Monica Turner, the second ex-wife of Mike Tyson following Robin Givens. Dr. Turner is a beautiful lady.

Thanks and thanks too for this exchange from that link:

MR. RUSSERT: Would, would you encourage — would you hope the U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe vs. Wade?

LT. GOV. STEELE: I think that that’s a matter that’s going to rightly belong to the courts to decide ultimately whether or not that, that issue should be addressed. The, the Court has taken a position, which I agree, stare decisis, which means that the law is as it is and, and so this is a matter that’s ultimately going to be adjudicated at the states. We’re seeing that. The states are beginning to decide for themselves on, on this and a host of other issues. And the Supreme Court would ultimately decide that.

MR. RUSSERT: But you hope that the Court keeps Roe v. Wade in place?

LT. GOV. STEELE: I think the Court will evaluate the law as society progresses, as the Court is supposed to do.

MR. RUSSERT: But what’s your position? Do you want them to sustain it or overturn it?

LT. GOV. STEELE: Well, I think, I think, I think Roe vs. Wade, Roe vs. Wade is a, is a matter that should’ve been left to the states to decide, ultimately. But it, it is where it is today, and the courts will ultimately decide whether or not this, this gets addressed by the states, goes back to the states in some form or they overturn it outright.

MR. RUSSERT: Is is your desire to keep it in place?

LT. GOV. STEELE: My desire is that we follow what stare decisis is at this point, yes.

++++++

Question:

If this guy isn't pro-life what is he doing in the right to life party?

I didn’t vote for him because he’s Catholic - but I am still proud of it. We NEED cosnervative Catholics to speak for the GOP, among others. I don’t know what LCMS stands for...

I like Michael Steele....a true conservative (not perfect but pretty close) from a socialist state. He’s been through the wars...even had oreo cookies routinely tossed at him while running for office. Free from the shackles of a moderate state political machine and he could be a rising star within the conservative movement.... Palin/Steele ‘12

“Kennedy, Pelosi, Kerry” are not devout, not Mass-going, and not pro-life. At best they are Catholic in name only. At BEST. At worst they are apostate and hell bent, literally.

Forgive my ignorance but is this man along the lines of “ go Sarah ! “ or “ rah, rah big tent “?
Honestly, I do not know a thing about him.
