It's a common tactic. He doesn't have to take it, but considering he's been running around saying what a great guy Obama is, and his chances of reelection are slim I wouldn't be surprised if he jumped on it knowing what it would mean to the party.

Here is Gregg’s opportunity to REALLY stand up and do something for our Constitution and our dying Republic.
Gregg should arrange with great fanfare, a press conference where everyone will be expecting him to smile and accept 0bama’s offer to serve as Commerce Secretary, but instead he looks into the camera and states “until Mr. Obama produces his original vault copy of his birth certificate, currently under seal by the Governor of Hawaii, to establish his eligibility to serve as President of the United States, I cannot consent, nor even consider becoming a part of what is an illegal regime without legitimacy.”
Of course that would require balls of forged steel, and I have doubts that Gregg’s got ‘em.

Obama’s trying everything to get to 60. I wonder what the legislation down the road is that he’s so desperate to avoid the filibuster on? Hmmm...

New Hampshire is really stinking up the country...first; their ‘open primary’ system revives McCain’s DOA campaign; now they deliver the 60th Democrat Senator...

“These Northeast republicans are pure political scumbags. “
Why are people equating Republicans with Conservatives? One is a political party and one is an ideology.
It is like the saying, “while not all muslims are terrorists, all terrorists are muslims.”
While not all Republicans are Conservatives, all Conservatives are Republicans.
If we truly want change, we need to form our own political party based on ideology. Both Democrats and Republicans who are Conservatives will change parties.
