We managed to stop this once before but the ethical people are now in power and they love these activists cum abusive vote getters. ACORN is right up there with the corrupt Fanny Mae & Freddie Mac, the Socialists Democrats play pens. Stop taking money for cronyism, pork, and pay offs. Why should any of us continue to pay federal income taxes to these crooks? This isn’t honest government it is pure thievery.

When we start hearing about 500 fraudulent voter registrations per Acorn worker, during the next election process, does anyone expect that the Obama Justice Dept is going to come down hard on any of them?
When we now see thousands of Obama’s thugs intimidating voters by staring them down when they try to vote, will there be any action taken to stop them?
The left will surely take hold of the electoral process as one of the necessary means to secure it’s absolute power over us.
First they are going to use the financial crisis to justify the nationalization over as much of industry and financial institutions as possible.
Then they will marginalize or eliminate Rush and Hannity ( others will bow out).
The rest should be relatively easy.

Seriously, if you can, withold your taxes if YOUR money is going to be given to this mob. This would ensure Obama gets elected next time - may ensure you nebet get a conservative in power again - you will see your money diappearing into a black hole -no pun intended.

Just wrote my congressman from Illinois to stop this package and any and all other packages where ACORN funding may get snuck in by Democrats.
If they give $4.19 billion to ACORN, you might as well stop having elections. No Republican will ever get elected again, and any Democrat who does not tow the hard leftist line will be defeated in primaries.
How would Republicans be able to stop this? They are a neutered minority, lacking even basic courteous treatment, much less any effective voice.
We’ve been waiting for a Green Card for 10 years now (doing everything legally), and the closer we get to receiving it, the less sure I am that I will want my family to live in the America of 2 or 3 years from now.

Yes, but they can at least show some backbone and stand against this on the record. Most of the Republicans in congress and senate seem to be fighting over who can get their nose further up Obama's ass.
How would CONSERVATIVES be able to stop this? The Republicans ARE NOT STOPPING IT ... thanks to the ilk of Lindsey Graham (my senator), we cannot count on REPUBLICANS to stop it. We have to stop thinking "Republican" and start thinking "CONSERVATIVE" ... there is a huge difference. Did you contribute to the RNC? Why? I'll contribute to Jim DeMint here in SC, but not to Graham. I'm sending my money to a CONSERVATIVE, not to a REPUBLICAN. Just something to think about.
What would prevent conservatives from forming our own ‘community organizing’ get-out-the vote groups who could apply for a piece of this money? I mean, we all know that the DIMS would not give it to conservative groups, but then wouldn’t there be some kind of harm that could be litigated? Seriously, our hands are tied on this ACORN business—there’s nothing we can do. But perhaps if we create our own conservative groups, why can’t we have some of the pie?
We’ve got to stop sitting around wringing our hands and saying the DIMS don’t play fair. We need to fight fire with fire. Only let’s do it right—let’s organize to influence elections legally.
