They see the media treatment of her and say we will never overcome it. Its that simple for many people
The country club republicans didn’t like Reagan either.

Stay of your mom’s computer.
You don’t get elected governor of Alaska being stupid and having poor performances in debates. Nor do you get 80 to 90 percent approval ratings without excelling in your duties as a governor.
If anyone can sniff out pretentious and insincere politicians, Alaskans would be the experts.
The anti-Palin Republicans are the same wine and cheese Rockefeller crowd that is embarrassed by the Religious Right and wish they would just go away so they could enjoy their permanent minority status in peace.
Nailed it.
I think she is awesome, personally BTW
Are you into free love, or is this a mistake? Oh the horrors, someone might try to score a cheap political point from this.
It is quite "grammatical," however.
“Because she has odd speech patterns, which they consider bumpkin-like.”

That’s funny, because I always thought that blue-blooded- Boston Kennedy manner of speaking was kind of down-home and unsophisticated myself. Bunch of northeastern rubes to us here in the midwest.

Not anti Sarah, I like her just fine but we still have primaries.
They may say they are Republican, they are NOT Conservative.
The gulf between the two is almost never crossed by the checked pants, country club RINO types.
They’ll make more money with someone else.
With her support level among Republicans at 85% according to a recent poll, I don't think the problem is really with that many Republicans being against her. The crowd who is against her is the "moderate" RINO country-club wing of the party, the wing that hates social conservatives and which really does look down its collective noses at people like us.
Sorry tgusa, you beat me to it and I missed it until I already posted.
Excellent conveyance my FRiend. : )
Part of it was class snobbery.
But part of it was that, strictly in my opinion, she wasn’t yet ready for the media attack dogs. Unfortunately, such is essentially a qualification for prominent elective office these days.
Can she be ready in 2012? Sure.
The people that run the Republican party are not actually conervatives.
Let's see governor's races next year, congress races the year after, etc, etc, etc. But in truth, she just doesn't have what it takes to be president, meaning she cannot ever get enough votes.
But if a few want to anoint her as their leader have at it.
But just be prepared for disappointment.
Oh sorry, I gotta get behind Palin or I’m on my mom’s computer, huh?
Did you listen to that prank call on Palin? Yes or no.
I’m not a Republican, but I know a few who are simply beholden to their wallets. It has nothing to do with conservativism and conservative values. It’s just a fiscal concern. I find these folks to have a genuine distaste for Palin that is similar to that of liberals, essentially beccause they are liberal in other areas.
I like Goverenor Palin a lot and hope to support her in 2012, though I would also strongly support Bobby Jindal.
I think that she has a lot of charisma. Obviously, she is a great communicator and can attrached the money that will be necesary to run for President.
My one concern about her is that the Democrats and the libs in the media may have done what they had already set out to do, and that is to absolutely destroy her right out of the blocks and make her unelectable.
There are many voters for whom the matter of Palin can not even be discussed. They have already made up their minds about her, they will never hear her out, nor her message or policies.
This level of hatred is similar to Bush Derangement Syndrome. I wouldn’t even try to get my head around it. Regardless, if enough people will not even ever give Palin the courtesy of an open mind, it seems to me that her national candidacy may be shot before it has even begun.
I think the key is that no one may know how much we may loathe Barack Obama 4 years from now. I think a lot of folks in this country would have to grow up before Palin could overtake the One.
Personally, winning the next presidential election may be a matter of desperation for conservatives. I’d rather be certain with Jindal, than maybe not a 100% with Palin.
If she’s going up against Huck or Romney, I would support her. I don’t think either of them can be elected in a national election.
I also like Jeff Sessions, Jim DeMint and John Thune.
