My daughter's high school has announced their plans for watching the inauguration, and I have to admit that they sound fair. All classrooms have TVs in them. Those teachers who want to can have the TVs on from 10:30 to 11:30. Those teachers who don't want to have them on don't have to. If any of their students want to watch the inauguration then they can sign out of the class and go to a central location and watch it. Any students who don't want to watch the inauguration can go to a study hall and work on their school work. Seems to cover all bases to me.

We may get snow here in central NC. That’s news, not that some Chicago minority family is moving into pricey government housing. Of course, they’re going to be working, in some sense, but still...what’s to see about that?

I’m avoiding the news entirely. Too depressing to watch our country go downhill like this.
I’m planning on going to the movie theater-the one with 16 screens, and just watch movies the entire day-Twilight, Hotel for Dogs, Gran Torino, whatever else to just fill up the entire day.
No BIZZARO inauguation for me. I will have a stack of videos and my couch.
