I have viewed a number of the Utube airstrikes on various Gaza targets. Including of course the one that hit some 40 tunnels.

How awful. I can’t understand why Arabs wish to bring this on their own innocents (as few as there are). They have no one to blame but themselves, but they’ll continue to blame the Israelis and us anyway.

It was just the other day I saw a report on Fox from Gaza about the tunnels. They're dug under sand, gravel at best, and it doesn't take much to cause cave ins. Hell....they collapse on their own.

This may be part of the reasoning for IDF tanks in Gaza. Tool around suspected sites with a heavy tank may well do the trick.

:’) That probably would work sometimes — their Mark 4 weighs 71 tons it sez here; by contrast, the excellent T-34 used by the Red Army in WWII was under 30 tons.

The Israelis have had years to gather information on terrorists’ moves in Gaza, and the technology for observation has been getting better all the time for quite some time now. I’m pretty sure they’d already built a massively detailed plan and (given the small size of the place) have been hitting their objectives every minute since they started their operation.
