Outrageous yes, surprising no. It’s CNN. I wouldn’t expect anything else from CNN. It’s almost like they have given up anything close to objectivity. I cannot believe that there aren’t even some people at CNN who are outraged about this. But they probably need to keep their mouths shut for fear of losing their jobs. In media nobody wants to be out of work today. CNN is a disgrace.

We all better get used to it. This will continue. Governor Palin is the extremely popular de facto leader of the conservative wing of the Republican party. Everyone is paying attention. The longer she endures the cheap smears the better her chances for winning moderates to our side and taking the country back for conservatism in 2012.

What if we picked a candidate who recognized the MSM as our enemy and chose to openly go to war with them?
Would there not be some benefits? After all, polls reveal over 80% of the public doesn't trust the media to tell the truth. Journalists are now held in lower regard than lawyers.
The base would doubtless cheer them on. The vast middle would grant the validity of their argument. The neurotic MSM might even try to over-compensate by giving favorable coverage to the conservative candidate.
O.K., I wouldn't want to count on that last speculation. But the Republican party and Republican candidates must ask themselves if continuing to play footsie with the media offers any benefit.

Perception is reality and as long as we have candidates that are perceived as unintelligent, inarticulate and incompetent, that is what our reality will be.
The perception is not created by the candidates, but by the media. We need to bypass, fight and discredit the media. Don't play their games. Don't give interviews with hacks like Couricky and Glibson. Speak directly with the people. Innovation and creativity are needed. We need candidates that will go past the media, not someone who goes with them. The Alphabet networks are Democrat territory. Palin should been introduced through FOX, talkradio and other friendly territory. You can forget about any conservative going unassaulted through ABCNNBC.

They contradict themselves in writing up this nonsense.
Our candidate this year was a guy who has spent more time being interviewed on TV than any politician currently alive. He was a guy who has spent more time on the Sunday shows than any politician currently alive. He was a guy who had been a favorite of the media establishment for years and had spent his entire career sucking up to them for just the moment when he’d be the nominee and they’d support him. He was as comfortable and articulate as anyone on TV.
Real good it did him or us.
As for Gov Palin, while her interview with Couric did have some bad moments, on the whole she did fine. She was plenty articulate and if you’ve seen more than one interview of her you’d see she did fine. It’s not like she said “uh” every two seconds like Obama always does. Talk about articulate and polished. Unfortunately A)the media wanted him to win so they downplayed all that and B)they’re afraid to get tough on a black guy so they lay off
Do you really think if she had told Katie Couric that she reads The Economist, Foreign Affairs magazine, and the CIA World Factbook to keep up with what’s happening as opposed to saying “I read lots of things from all different sources”, even one vote would have changed?
If she had named 1 or 2 Supreme Court cases by names that 99.9% of voters have no idea about instead of saying the ones that encroach on state and local authority that even one vote would have changed?
It’s also a bit tougher when every on air talent and reporter is so blatantly in the tank for the other side and wants more than anything for him to win and would literally do anything to ensure that happens. I don’t care how good you are on TV.
It was the total and utter collapse of the economy from the middle of September through to election day that decided things, not how anyone did or did not do on TV interviews.
Given that the one Repulican who’s won a Presidential election in the past 20 years is about as inarticulate as they come, I don’t think it’s really that big of a deal.
