The RNC called the other day asking for money. I told them not another dime for that pack of socialists. And I liked doing it.

Sitting in rural Wisconsin, I’m not that familiar with the former Lt. Governor from Maryland, but Michael Steele has been an excellent sub on Bennett’s morning program. I’ve found his positions regarding the role of the Federal Government to be very appropriate.
I’m inclined to give him my support, albeit in a very narrow window where I’ve just begun my formulating my opinion. Any feedback from the MD localites?

I think the idea is that if you’re gonna sound off, you need to get behind someone. FYI, this site isn’t run by the RNC, in case you didn’t know. You can leave comments at the RNC.

Amazing, what racists we GOPers and conservatives are! Seven candidates, and the top two are getting a combined 70% of the vote.
Did I mention that both are black?

Neither of those cats are running. Cantor is a sitting congressman, so he’s out.

Ted, Oh Yah. Now THAT would be Change. I voted Ken Blackwell. I had thought I liked Micheal Steele until I started to listen to him closer. I don’t trust him, More of the same in my opinion and likely to lean Very moderate.
To: Recovering Ex-hippie
Steele is tied to Bush. He is also shaky on the Life issue. Leans RINO.
I like Ken Blackwell best.

Steele definitely wants it, but when I saw him going all gaga over Oblama’s election, that was pretty much it for me.
If we don’t get a bonafied Conservative with a track record, McSnake and his ilk will have destroyed the Republican brand forever.

I’d go for either...
“TR” Roosevelt or,
Barry Goldwater or,
Ronald Reagan.

You know, Im at the point where I really dont give a crap. Are the Republicans that much different from the Democrats? There are few true Conservatives anywhere in politics. The Republicans wanted amnesty for illegals. The Republicans bailed out the banks. The Republicans have lost the culture war. The GOP is just Pelosi/Reid light. I want a real Conservative Party to take our country back from the Muslim Marxist, George Soros, and the other scum that have bought it out from under us. ditto. Thanks for saving me the time to type it out.

Having met more than one of these candidates, my vote is definitely in favor of former Sec'y of State (OH) Ken Blackwell. The man is truly a "conservative's conservative."
He worked hard to prevent OH from being stolen away from Bush standing toe-to-toe with ACORN, etc. and other "minority shills" and unfortunately lost his own race for Governor.
Ken's a true gentlemen, loving husband and devoted father.
He's not a "make-believe" conservative with RINO tendencies. For that reason, the powers that be at the RNC will pick someone much more acceptable to the "Big Tent" folks who desire again to appeal to the vast "moderates" presumed in the country.
Can't win elections that way and Reagan proved it but mods continue believe that someone like McCain pull in the "Indys" and dimocRATS.
If you feel that way, Blackwell wouldn't be your first choice.
