On the other hand I must take exception to your point about “jobs that Americans won’t do”.

Run the numbers using any index you like (CPI, Average Wage Rate, inflation indices) and you will find that illegals have REDUCED THE WAGES for unskilled labor jobs in the U.S. by 40 TO 60 PERCENT SINCE 1980.

25 years ago the unskilled and semi-skilled labor pool was filled by Americans, and many supported families from those jobs.

I believe the issue of mortgages to illegal aliens was on radio news. I do not recall whether it was CBS or others. I listen to XM radio with Fox News but the half hours news is sometimes another corp.

My point about jobs that Americans wont do is exactly your point. Americans will do those jobs, have been doing those, and with the employment picture, are anxious for those jobs.
