The shoe thrower should have done his cultural homework.
JMO but throwing a shoe is silly regardless of what it means in his culture.
Now a double flipping of the bird and yelling certain profanities would have been more understandable to my American cultural beliefs.
It would have put him in the same catagory with Code Pink.

Sounds like a name for a fancy mixed drink in a Portland (pick you yuppie lib City) Oregon Yuppie Liberal Bar.
The could put lil Che flags in the drink instead of the lil umbrellas.
If may be a fruity Green drink.
