I've heard other FReepers say that Fred Phelps and his loathsome family are actually deep-cover Leftists.....they do their utmost to create the most extreme, ludicrous caricature of Conservatives that they can but they actually have Leftist connections. If true, it would be entirely in keeping with Leftist protocol....when your argument or characterization of something or someone isn't supported by the facts and reality, manufacture a lie out of wholecloth and present it as an example to buttress your flawed characterization. Why rely on the truth when you can manufacture whatever lie you want without any worries of the Press calling you on it?
