According to the source, besides fully arming fighters and placing pilots in operational rooms, the IAF has moved some missile units close to the Pakistan border. These are primarily surface-to-air missiles and other air-defence assets that can shoot down any incoming threat.

That would be bad and good for the US if the Russians and Chicoms participated against each other.
We are talking about 120 or so nukes with India and Pakistan. If Russia and China get in that is over 10,000 nukes. That much radiation is never good for ones DNA.

and Paki’s response:
Pakistan navy and air force put on high alert
Islamabad, Dec 10 (ANI): Pakistan has put its navy and air force on high alert in wake of the Indian Air Force alert in response to heightened perceptions of air attacks.
The alert has been sounded in view of intelligence reports of air strikes at Indian installations from across the border or an aerial attack by terrorists groups based in Pakistan.
However, the alert is still defensive in nature and intended to protect Indian targets.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) spokesman has said that Pakistan was ready to give a crushing reply to any aggression.
PAF spokesman told that PAF has all the capability of defending the country and if any aggression from any quarter takes place, then a crushing reply would be given.
Reacting to the news of Indian Air Force put on high alert, he said that PAF remained focused on the Indian situation and Pakistan was all the time ready for the security and safety of its airspace.
Pakistan Navy spokesman said the action had been taken in response to movements of their Indian counterparts.
However, the spokesman said people should not treat this as an alarm. (ANI)

No. World War V. IV was the Cold War.I was counting the Cold War as World War III.
Thus the next one is World War IV.
Did I miss a World War in there between World War II and the present?

However, the spokesman said people should not treat this as an alarm.Reminds me of that Iraqi information minister on television with the bombs detonating behind him.
