That is honestly one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard...the Lord blinds people for disagreeing about the nature of a time period described in one chapter of the book of Revelation?

I guess fundamentalists will be fundamentalists, and will only answer biblical arguments with self-righteous pomposity...

Whether or not we are still alive in flesh there is going to be a ‘one’ world government... It has but a short season, but it is going to happen.... Christ said I have foretold you all things... and that is what He said would happen... There will be wars and rumors of wars ‘FEAR’ ye not... So the peace -peace -peace niks have been given charge and we all alive today have seen what their peace efforts mean.

We all can get a whiff of this formation by the ‘We are the world’ president recently elected. And imagine Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State leading the charge... and as always when liberals get in charge somebody is going to have to come along and bail them out...

Joel 1:3-4 has not happen yet .. What was said in Acts on Pentecost Day when the majority thought the speakers were drunk...

The “wars and rumors of wars” refer to the political climate of the generation following Christ’s earthly ministry. As I have repeatedly said, Jesus said that what he predicted would be fulfilled within a generation. And to use the alleged drunkenness of the apostles as a way of avoiding the obvious implications of the quote of Joel in Acts is utterly ridiculous. Peter himself pointed out the fallacy of that reasoning (Acts 2:15).

Maybe you better read again regarding the 'time' of that generation as it applies to the Parable of the 'fig' tree, which Christ commanded that ye learn. What do you know of the horticulture of the fig tree?

I made NO alleged charge of drunkenness of anyone... Now where would I get an idea of somebody being drunk? Was NOT my accusation, and to the point Joel 1:3-4 HAS NOT happened as was described in Acts.

No, it’s just not the proper thread to go into biblical doctrine in depth.

You don’t know your Bible at all if you don’t understand that God most certainly causes people to be blinded. He also causes them to be enlightened. I’d say get thee to it, my dear - the latter. :)

Yes, but we are “not appointed unto wrath.” I have no fear of the coming Antichrist or a one world government. My faith and joy is in the Lord, and I look for HIS coming, not 666’s. Scripture says that those who look forward to His coming will be given a crown at the Judgment Seat of Christ (which is different from the White Throne Judgment). I’m going for that crown. :)

There is nothing in the parable of the fig tree indicating that the generation would be delayed. Jesus’ reference to the tree merely meant that when the disciples started to see the signs happening (the wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, and false Messiahs) that Jesus’ vindication and the judgment on apostate Israel was coming.

Compare to Matthew 23:36...all of the blood of the martyred righteous was to come on “this generation.” Compare also to the Parable of the Tenants (Matt. 21:33-43), in which the original tenants (Israel) rejects the servants (the prophets) and eventually the son (Jesus) after which the owner of the vineyard (God) comes and brings the wicked tenants to a wretched end. This means that the kingdom of God is taken away from apostate Israelites and given to those who do follow the son.

Even more revealing is the following parable of the Wedding Banquet, in which those who abuse the king’s servants have their city destroyed...a perfect prediction of what was to happen to Jerusalem in A.D. 70...within a generation. This, too, is what is meant by the fact that in Revelation 17:16-17, God puts it into the heart of the beast (Rome) to destroy and “burn with fire” the Whore of Babylon (Jerusalem).

If you want to say that Joel was not fulfilled in Acts, you must assume that Peter was lying, since he said, “This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel...” in regard to people speaking in tongues.

I never disputed that God causes people to be blinded. Yet you approach the level of blasphemy by claiming to speak for God, saying that he blinds amills and postmills, when there is zero biblical evidence that God blinds people regarding different interpretations of the “thousand years” of Revelation 20.

Why do you want to cause dissension here by lying? I never said I spoke for God, not once. I just read the scriptures, which speak to me, which I suggest you do too and stop attacking and flaming me just because you disagree with me on prophecy. Look into your own heart and take the beam out of your eye.

Good day.

So what do you think is next on the Heavenly Father’s plan to take place? Given you think every thing penned has already happened.

Do you really expect the instead of Jesus to show up pushing 666?

I do not believe that “everything penned” has happened...just the Great Tribulation, the Beasts out of Earth and Sea, etc.

I believe that we are in the “Millennium” of Christ’s reign right now (the amill position) and we still await Christ’s bodily reappearing, the resurrection of the dead, the judgment, and the completion of the new creation.

Thank you for your explanation. I have been given books to read to get understanding, none of which were the Bible itself. But rather process steps to get to what you wrote in a short summation.
