This is a story that won't go away.

Correction. This is a story that has never even been reported on by your paper yet. Looks like you managed to get in ONE story on it before your bankruptcy filing. I wonder why your paper went bankrupt? Real mystery to me.

BTW, the way you handled your Post #20 makes it sound like pissant made the statement to which you took umbrage.

The Hawaii BC means squat. They handed them out to thousands of foreign born children until 1973, if one parent had lived in Hawaii before the foreign birth of the kid. The Hawaiian BC may be “real” but does nothing to prove he is a natural born citizen. His real BC is in Kenya or has been destroyed so it is never seen.

I found this earlier today:

“Does this mean Obama was born in Hawaii?

“Yes,” said Hawaii Health Department spokeswoman Janice Okubo, in both email and telephone interviews with the Tribune. “That’s what Dr. Fukino is saying.”

From:

Actually, this is what is from the article:

Does this mean Obama was born in Hawaii?

"Yes," said Hawaii Health Department spokeswoman Janice Okubo, in both email and telephone interviews with the Tribune. "That's what Dr. Fukino is saying."

Notice the question is not in quotes. I would like to see the actual question asked of her to see what she is answering "yes" to.

Now here is a quote from Okubu to Forbes magazine:

"Unfortunately the way state laws are written we are not allowed to confirm vital information and vital records," said Janice Okubo, a spokeswoman for Hawaii's department of health. "I cannot confirm individual information because that is against the law."

This seems to contradict what the Tribune is saying.

There is an article here that shows how the Tribunes statement is taken from misinformation put out in the press:

BTW, the way you handled your Post #20 makes it sound like pissant made the statement to which you took umbrage.

... only if you do not understand accepted methods of commenting on an article posted in this forum.

I clearly had in italics, a direct quote from the article posted (look in the article, the quote is in paragraph #5 of the article). That is the most accepted method in this forum to quote something from an article posted that one wishes to comment about.

Then below that I commented on that particular quote from the article in a new paragraph in non-italics.

It would appear that you aren't familiar with, or don't understand these practices, so you left me no choice but to explain them to you.

Five weeks after the state of Hawaii vouched for the authenticity of President-elect Barack Obama's birth certificate,

They did no such thing.

Actually they did. But as you correctly point out they did NOT comment on the content.

The Morons that pass for journalists in the Lamestream Media don't understand that it is possible to have an "authentic" Hawaiian Birth Certificate but still NOT be a "natural born citizen".

They vouched that he had an authentic birth certificate. That is all. Not an Hawaiian birth certificate. This is what was said from Hawaii:

Fukino said she has “personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.

She did not say original Hawaii birth certificate. Under Hawaiian law, he could have applied for a Hawaii birth certificate provided he could show his mother was a resident of Hawaii one year prior to his birth. Part of that process is submitting your original birth certificate. So therefore, in accordance with state policies and procedures , they would have his original birth certificate on record. It does not mean it is a Hawaii birth certificate.
