It is not at all surprising Obama opposes gay marriage----the issue is central to black churchgoers who adamnantly oppose gay marriage. So much so that in past elections some voters switched to Republican candidates to show their opposition.

Homoshock? I thought was when you walked in on someone you thought you knew... engaged in a homosexual act. ;)

I think Obama's razor is to say, "Sure, eat the cookie; just don't call it a cookie."
And, to the larger issue..."Gay" "marriage": a parable.

The homo community likes to attach the word homo to everything. Thus if you are against granting “civil rights” for sexual behavior, this makes you in their eyes a “homo”-phobe.
When you are really defending the Constitution by pushing back at political correctness.

"Church" is just part of the Black Culture. How can they go to "church" on Sunday, sing, clap, dance and shout and then go into the voting booth on Tuesday and vote for same-sex propogating, baby-killing Democrats?

Did you see/hear the Howard Stern segment where he had people go into Harlem and talk to typical black voters? They were completely clueless about Obama’s positions. They self-identified as pro-life, then Stern’s guy asked “Are you voting for Obama because he is pro-life?” and they said YES! Stern’s guy asked if Obama’s selection of Sarah Palin helped them choose him, and they said it was great Obama chose a female running mate.
I think the real reason is that they voted for black skin.

It's odd. I don't get that Obama is against gay marriage. He supports gay in all other ways it's hard to believe he is personally against gay marriage. This may be his playing both ends of the issue.
Obscure pun intended...

But really, my comment’s metaphor’s flawed. The thing really is that “gays” want to eat manure and call it a cookie. Obama says, “Fine, eat manure. Just don’t call it a cookie.”

Same question for Catholics, without the clapping, dancing and shouting.

Finally, Obama has the sense not to engage the sexual deviants.

Most black people deeply resent being compared to sexual deviants and I can’t say I blame them one bit. To compare ones race to deviant sexual behavior somehow is not marketable to most people with a modicum of brain power.

not anymore.
now in the US , it means someone who attends a physical church 1.3 times per month to get in their “ Jesus time”
I have changed word usage from church goers to “ the church” or “ the TRUE church”

The story misleads, intimating that the Sundance FF is connected to the Mormon Church. Not once, unless I missed it, is Robert Redford's name mentioned.
Redford, who bought his spread in a Utah Canyon following the making of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" - founded the Sundance Insititute years later for the purpose of spotlighting low-budget, independent film making done outside of Hollywood.
Although Redford was once married to a member of the Mormon Church, he never became a member and the Institute has nothing to do with the church.

All Obama’s campaign promises have expiration dates. The Messiah may say he’s against gay marriage, but has not problems with civil unions and for repealing the Defense of Marriage Act.
