I just wish GWB would stepup and say that Compassionate Conservatism is not Conservative, it is Socialism Lite and then explain that he botched Conservatism with his big spending, Amnesty, RAT/UN/Saudi hand holding and his shiity Cabinet appointments of other CC/Rinos. That should be the least he does except for saying that the only redeming quality of the McCain Campaign was Gov. Palin.

Someone told Bush that big deficits don’t matter.

Anyone who could read a newspaper knew that people were buying houses with no money down and no credit.

Bush did nothing, nor did any of his well-paid appointees.

He insisted on installing a democracy on people who have no history of democracy. The Iraqis can barely muster a thank you.

“At some point , we just have to admit that George W. Bush was not up to the job. He didn’t have the gray matter necessary.”

Sarah Palin has not shown that she has the brains either, but saying that gets you called an “elitist” who attends cocktail parties in Washington D.C.

Instead of appologizing and virtually taking the blame for it, he should point out that it was DUmocrats who created the problem and those responsible for it are still serving in congress or will be serving in Obama’s cabinet.

And still, the boy won’t name names, won’t point fingers at the CRA, at the compassionate conservatism and its bullying of banks that got us here!

He should call the rats traitors, cowards, obstructionists. Traitors for their treasonous conduct while our brave men and women were in harm's way. Cowards for supporting the war and then calling Bush a war criminal after difficult times started. Obstructionists for 8 years of relenting opposition to sensible policy proposals on entitlements, health care, energy, mortgages, and many other areas.

Bush should not apologize for GW2. Hussein was a grave long term threat who had to be confronted. If Iraq was not confronted, we would have both Iran and Iraq to deal with.

Bush's major weakness was not recognizing the true enemy: the rats. His naivity from dealing with Texas rats will be the downfall of the country.

I’m sorry, so sorry
That I was such a fool
I didn’t know
Love could be so cruel
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes

You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don’t right
The wrong that’s been done

“I’m sorry it’s happening, of course,” Bush said”

God, I hate AP. They are vicious, nasty, lying termites. I call them termites because they set their little bombs to gnaw at the bottom until they crash things down.

Bush is not apologizing here. He’s just saying he’s sorry there’s a problem. They just twist it, like they do everything, to make it seem like he is saying it is all his fault. And if I blame anyone, I blame mostly the democrats and the media constantly talking the economy down.

“a decision largely justified on grounds—later proved false—that Saddam was building weapons of mass destruction.”

BS! Actually the exact opposite was proven. And that wasn’t even the reasoning.

"I'm sorry it's happening, of course," Bush said in a wide-ranging interview with ABC's "World News," which was airing Monday. "Obviously I don't like the idea of people losing jobs, or being worried about their 401(k)s.

Well, he sure didn't seem to care when millions of Americans lost their jobs because of outsourcing, but then, he supports globalism so as usual, American jobs are expendable, as long as they benefit his global agenda!

WilliamReading: "At some point , we just have to admit that George W. Bush was not up to the job. He didn’t have the gray matter necessary."

Speak for yourself.

By the way, it has been my experience that a graceless comment made about someone else's supposed lack of gray matter often reveals more about the speaker than the intended target.

"A badly misleading headline."

Agree. "I'm sorry" it's happening also, that doesn't mean I'm admitting or suggesting I caused it, as the headline eludes.

Bush...said he'll back more government intervention if needed to ease the recession.
“I mean, we're in. And if we need to be in more, we will."

Dammit Dubya, don’t apologize, you’re one of the only people who tried to fix it!

Some say that it is viable economic “strategery”.

Of course the “some” have million$ stashed away and their families are economically stable for generations to come...
