One thing is certain, Murtha thinks he is all three branches of government.
I want to say he's unbelievable but at this point nothing the senile old fool says surprises me. Seven out of eight Haditha Marines have been exonerated by IO's or a courts-martial panel but that doesn't seem to be good enough for Murtha.

We have a very competent SECDEF and military commanders, why in the world would anyone give any credence to anything Murtha says on the way the war should be run in Afghanistan? He's the turkey who wanted to redeploy our troops to Okinawa so they'd have a fast strike capability if anything flared up in Iraq. I believe he has delusions of grandeur.

I defy him to get on the www.africom.mil website and say his stupidity there so as to allow General Ward the opportunity to have dialog with him that will be on the record. Murtha wont...he’s too busy with accusing his own constituancy of being idiots and the marines of being murderors.

My wife is from his district. The people there are not Godless. They believe and vote for Murtha because they think he is strongly pro life and anti-abortion...
...and they think he fights for them.
They also believed that Russell was a carpetbagger. Murtha spent millions on TV right before the election telling them that Russell was from Virginia.
Again, it’s the media who won’t report the truth about Murtha.
