Wow, I hadn’t seen anyone try to blame Halliburton for anything in quite awhile..... now we know they have all the money that those crazed WalMart shoppers must do without...... of course, it’s all BUSH’s FAULT!!

They used to pay off duty police officers to show up in uniform and with guns, to guard the doors. They’ve started to cut costs and guess what is gone? The police officers.
If their actions deserve the label, so be it. Personally I'm sick and tired of color being used as a protective shield for uncivilized behavior.

This makes me feel like a racist pig, but you know what, I taught inner city African Americans for a year and did my hardest and still care for those kids despite how awful the experience was.
It was a living hell. There were some teachers who could really reach these kids, but not me.
I am not exactly surprised the stampede was done by inner city folks.
Regardless of the race, they just don’t have the same values we grew up with, the same standards etc. It is a completely different environment from middle class America.
It is not the the race that is the problem, but the inner city culture. It truly is different, so I could see how barbarism could occur fairly easily given the right conditions.
It could happen anywhere, but more easily in that setting.

Blacks SHOULD embarrassed by the behavior of their fellow people. I would be too if my people behaved like that.
This is tragic and sad. But it’s not about race, it’s about culture. The problem is that our society can’t comment on cultural behavior, because cultural commentary is immediately misunderstood as racial commentary. This sword has cut both ways for generations.
Back in the thirties, Erskine Caldwell wrote a damning short story about a vicious lynching called “Saturday Afternoon”. He was later deemed a communist (the worst label there was) because he dared to portray a segment of southern white culture as brutal, violent, and racist. The problem was he told the truth.
Now we are on the other side of the sword. If one dares to portray a segment of modern black culture as brutal, violent, (and yes) racist, then that person is deemed a racist (the worst label there is). Even if one speaks the truth.
So now Americans are hamstrung. Bad behavior, if perpetuated by a certain group, goes unchecked. Speaking up against the behavior is considered a worse offense than the behavior itself. It doesn’t matter that the commentary is cultural rather than racial. What matters is that the commentary doesn’t fit into the currently accepted standard. But the end result is the same; the commentator is damned.
Their 1 A stores, who do not sell groceries, close at night. They have stockers that work at night, but the store is closed. And the employees who come in at opening have to come in the same door as customers, the front door. The few people that were let in were probably cashiers.
When they said it was closed at night, I figured it was 1 A. The grocery/supercenters are always open 24 hours. Except one holiday [Christmas] where they close for one day.

I just thought I’d share my funny Wal-Mart experience that I had yesterday. It wasn’t so funny when it was happening, but now it seems quite commical.
I was quite a calamity jane in there. When I first got there I headed over to the beverage container recycling area and I accidently put a plastic bottle in the glass machine. It gurgled and whined for about a minute and then started souding the alarm. Yes, I had broken the machine. So with a little embarrassment, I went and informed the management that I had broken the machine so they could get someone to fix it.
While I was in there I picked up a 5’x8’ area rug that was a bit too big for the cart. I did fine at navigating that thing around the store until I got through the checkout and to the exit where I lost control of the cart and the rug bumped the door clear off the track. I had to go back yet again to tell the management that I had broken something.
I bet the next time they see me coming they will lock the doors and put the “CLOSED” sign out. LOL

I started by pointing out the race in the pictures and realized I needed to change the way I was looking at it. It isn’t race, it is culture.
People of every race would act the same way with similar cultural values.

I strongly believe that most black FReepers know and understand that these type of posters are in the vast minority around here. However, It is always good to ‘call out’ these thinly veiled bigots.

I thought those KKK people hated blacks, not Jews. Regardless, I've never seen any KKK mobs anywhere. In fact when ever you hear anything about the KKK, it's usually fiction, I can't remember the last time I saw a KKK mob on the news killing people. I think their membership consists of about 12 people.
BUT, I've seen looting by mobs of blacks in NY, Acouple years ago in NY when the power went out. Mobs of Blacks looting in burning in LA, beating up people because they were white.
Always mobs of blacks involved in gang wars with Hispanics in LA and other southern states.
Mobs of black youth jumping up and down like baboons as a couple white kids were being kicked to death for walking in the wrong neighborhoods
Mobs of blacks swarming around a semi truck looting the load as the driver slowly drove, slowed down by mobs of blacks blocking the road.
Of course it's the truck drivers fault for driving down the wrong street by accident, right?
But we aren't supposed to say anything about this stuff, because they are black...And if we do, well we are just "racists"

Race is NOT the issue. Culture is.
Each culture has different values, and I would argue rural/suburban vs. city type plays a much bigger role here than race.
Also, the crowd is flat massive. Much bigger than any lines I saw in Texas today.
