We just disagree on the reason why and the method to get there.
Simply letting people choose for themselves what energy sources to use is the best way to do it.

Sorry, but that will not happen with oil at $50.00.
Only those who drill for oil as a hobby would drill in ANWR at the current prices.

Absolutely. Seems that many want some entity to exert control over markets, as if that entity will be acting in a person's best interest. I surmise that such an entity will act on their own behalf, and that may or may not align with the desires of the individual that wants this entity to exist.

The market should control the price. If it goes high, exploration and drilling will take place. If it goes low, people will buy bigger vehicles. If it goes high and stays there, innovative people will find new methods to power transportation and will bring them to market. All the government can do (and all the government has done) is distort the market for their own goals.

"We have to make sure that produced oil is used for consumption and not for storing.

These oil ministers like to flap their gums. Make as much sense as Global Warmers.

Aren’t they supposed to be paying off the cost of the war with that oil? SOB.
