My mistakeon that one: should have been "relatively static" It has risen slightly over the last 20 years but has not kept pace with the EU.
What's wrong with the bottom line are the obscene amounts of money spent in this country on the product called "health" as opposed to other countries on a per capita basis. I realize that since we've killed off manufacturing here the health industry is where a lot of people can find something to do during the day. I'm not against someone getting a decent return on their labor......but when someone bills your insurance company $375 for a 2 minute office visit and then orders up $1200 worth of tests to tell you something that you already know I kinda sense that something is way outta whack.
