Polls are fine but the election is Feb. 10. In 1996 Peres led Bibi by 30 points two months out, was still leading the day of the election, led in the exit polls, the TV networks declared Peres the winner, the Labor Party had a gala victory party on TV before midnight, and at 7 a.m. Bibi and the Likud came out on top.
Economics is now suddenly becoming the main issue, with the need for a big bailout of pension funds, and that could spell trouble for Bibi. There are bad memories among the poor people of his term as finance minister.
Livni is trying the gambit that Sharon, the founder of her party Kadimah, used successfully in 2002, attack the ultra-Orthodox parties, highly unpopular among those who serve in the military, the rest of the population, and paint Bibi as soft on the ultra-Orthodox. This is a very emotional issue.
Labor is in deep trouble but they have the backing as always of the rich and established and might figure something out with all the money behind them
And then there is Iran. Beyond that no one gets a majority in Israel but the leading party forms the coalition which could be with anyone.
Unfortunately, according to Wikipedia he was born in Tel Aviv.

Yes, get Bibi on the phone and tell him to take out the Democratic nuclear sites...they will soon have enough Senators to build a bomb.
A problem, that was McCain's big problem, but we LOVE polls here. It gives us something to talk about every day.
Netanyahu was born in Israel but received his higher education in the United States. That’s why he speaks English with a slight foreign accent.
One can predict that Netanyahu will not get along very well with “Osama” Obama and his administration, just like Netanyahu, in his previous term as PM, had his problems with the Clintonistas. In fact, none other than James Carville was dispatched to Israel to help Ehud Barak unseat Netanyahu as Israeli PM. That’s correct: an American political operative known for his shady ways interfered in the Israeli election on behalf of Clinton’s interests. Will Obama attempt to do the same to destroy Netanyahu come February?
Something tells me that Israel won't go for that deal!
I hope I'm wrong, but I think we've got a selfcentered weakling in office, and I'm a lot more concerned about Putin running him over than Netanyahu. I think the liklihood of political interference in the next month is zero, Zero has his hands full here.
An interesting question you raise, will he find a job for Carville?
No secular politician is going to solve anything.
Feiglin for Kenesset! Woo-hoo!
Well, it depends.
For a child born abroad to ONE U.S. citizen (rather than both parents being USC’s) between 12/24/1952 and 11/14/1986, the child is considered to be a US citizen at birth ONLY IF the citizen-parent had spent 10 years in the United States PRIOR to the birth of that child, and 5 of those years had to have been after reaching the age of 14.
O. was born in 1961, IINM.
If his mother met those requirements, then O was a USC at birth (and thus a “natural-born USC”). If she was under 19, however . . . that is another story.
