“Bullshit. The Dallas P.D. was working with the SS on that day.”

So the SS gets all the credit for capturing Oswald and Dallas PD gets all the blame for the two killings? Is that fair?

It’s pretty tough to stop someone from killing the president

Bullshit...This was only easy for the Dallas P.D. They allowed this nightmare to take place for the world to see.

It was on the directions of the Secret Service a lot of this came to pass.

Kennedy wanted the open car.

Today, due to modern designs, there are very few open windows in office buildings.

The Secret Service pulled their agents off the presidential limo because it was the end of the parade.

It would not have been the Dallas Police who would have known about Oswald’s background or considered him a threat. That one would have been the FBI.

You can easily blame the FBI or the Secret Service. Now the killing of Oswald? You are completely correct.

One question:

Who's custody was Oswald in when they allowed this individual who assassinated the President of the United States be be assassinated?

Correction: Who’s custody was Oswald in when they allowed this individual who assassinated the President of the United States to be assassinated?

Come to think about it, I saw the guy who captured Oswald. I walked by him on Saturday at Dealy Plaza and he was explaining how he grabbed him and the web of his hand blocked the hammer on the revolver from falling. I didn’t really know who he was at the time and the conversation didn’t quite register. I knew he had something to do with the event but I didn’t find out until later when a reporter mentioned him on the six o’clock news.

You’re right. Where was the FBI? Here’s a crazed Communist repatriated from the USSR, at a time when Western men who married Russian women had to wait years for their wives to be released, a doofus who’s just visited the closely watched (and photographed) Cuban embassy in Mehico City, and the FBI is asleep, or compromised by Soviet agents?

OK, expert, explain in detail what the Police Department could have done to prevent the assassination within their legal boundaries.

No offense, but is there really even any good reason to post articles like this? What a bunch of bunk....Sorry, this is aimed at you (well it is, sort of).

See post 7. We may disagree on it's value, but this is broadcast in several dozen countries over a swath of many thousand miles, from Iran to the western tip of Africa. It may seem crazy to you, but it's what hundreds of millions believe.

Hmmm, boy that's difficult..

Lets see, we have a guy that just allegedly assassinated the President of the United States..Shall we parade him through this maze of media cameras and strange unknown f-ing individuals, or shall we secure the GD FREAKING transportation of this individual???

Hummm....Hard decision here, eh?

Makes you wonder, doesn’t it. It’s almost like Hoover hated the Kennedy’s so much he didn’t care what happened to any of them. Unless we had more freedom than we realize back then.

I do remember a story from Hoover. It was suggested during WWII that the U.S. should set up a spy network involving neighbors spying on neighbors. The story goes that Hoover was appalled by the suggestion and said as a free country, we just didn’t do that.

You suffer from a reading disability. I told you already, the police were wrong with the handling of Oswald. I said you were correct.

Now “expert”, tell me how the Dallas Police “allowed the assassination” like I asked in the first place.

I give them all the blame for Oswald’s assassination. They should have moved him in the middle of the night. However, I do not think that makes them Yahoos. Their work on the evidence against Oswald was exemplary.

How stupid can you possible be?

The Dallas P.D. not only allowed this assassination to occur, but then allowed the assassin that killed the President of the United States to be assassinated himself.

Good grief man, are you daft?

The Dallas P.D has been known for years now to be completely inept.

OK buddy, I give up.

The GD Dallas police department that stood by and watched a President of the United States get assassinated, and then watch the assassin of the President of the United States be assassinated himself is A-OK.

Good God!

Give up is right. You were asked how they were supposed to prevent it and you have no answer except childish rantings.

Give up.

“The GD Dallas police department that stood by and watched a President of the United States get assassinated”

That’s really not fair. First of all, the Secret Service was there too, and certainly they had more of a responsibility. Also, It could have happened in any city, and I defy anyone to tell me why not. What were they supposed to do, search every business along the parade route for employees who had claimed to be Marxist and lived in the Soviet Union? Man, would the ACLU love that!
