The ‘qualified’ people you mention understand the absurdity of accusing multiple state agencies, independent observers, and a presidential candidate of such a massive fraud.
The facts:
Obama asked the sos in HI for a copy of his birth certificate to have ‘independently’ analyzed and posted.
There isn’t a single piece of credible evidence suggesting the chain of events is fraudulent.
Add to that not a single qualified person has been refused when asked to see documentation and this is rendered worse that pointless.
It is destructive to have conservative activists pursuing nonsense instead of working to elect real conservatives.

Obama may have committed the largest case of voter fraud in history, but the Electors are the Electors and they cannot be "de-elected". They may or may not be prevented from performing their duty due to the actions of others, but they, themselves, have committed no wrongs.
Here is a nice discussion of the role and responsibilities of Electors, and some interesting history. Note the discussion of faithless electors and examples that might apply (substitute "removed" for "died" as I expect the mechanics will be essentially the same if Obama is removed from the ticket).

Wrong. I already went through this multiple times. Obama’s name would have been on the ballot illegally in all 50 states. Those electors would not be seated. True, it’s not necessarily their fault, but too bad. They followed a marxist fraud.
Actually it is the other way around. He could have gotten a Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) from HI after the fact, and that is the (allegedly forged) document that was briefly posted on his site. He would only get a Birth Certificate if he was born in the state.

Well, in the name of justice he shouldn't, but there isn't really any mechanism short of a challenge during the actual counting (when the EC votes are opened and counted in a joint session by the President of the Senate). I presume that, the FFs being honorable men, it did not occur to them that fraud on this scale, with the collusion of the press and an entire political party, could be successfully perpetrated. Or, maybe, that's what Franklin meant when he said "if you can keep it!"

The document posted doesn't even purport to be the "original birth certificate", it's a certification of live birth, and is (now) generated upon request based on the data in the state health statistics database, not directly on the original (or long form) Certificate of Live Birth. It also doesn't contain all the information that would be on Certificate. Including any adoptions, name changes etc.
Lets keep our terms straight.

So, in your opinion, Repubs need to be “mainstream” - meaning, I assume, approved of by the mainstream media - to win. IOW, Repubs need to become Democrat-lite. Well, that’s exactly what McCain was, and see what good that did the party. And even then, the MSM still drooled over Obama and vilified McCain.

There was a two year campaign. We failed to make these things important enough for people to care about.
The media has always been against us and yet we have won more times than lost in the past 50 years.
Have we ever won because their head rat was ‘scary’, or did our big ideas and positive vision win us the days?

I would say you have the better of this argument.
For what it’s worth the earlier compariosn of a 1960s blacked out Hawaii birth certificate and the birth documentation Obama released is meaningless. It’s an apple and oranges comparison that isn’t Obama’s fault. Most, if not all, states no longer give out photocopies of the actual certificate issued at birth. Since the advent of computers, all the original information has been transferred to a data base. When you pay for a birth certificate copy, what you get is a new data base printout, either long form or short form. I just got mine last year, and it’s very similar—just different color and seal. It’s a perfectly legal docuemnt and accepted as such by courts. The key point is that your database printout won’t say you were born in a U.S. City unless the original documentaiton uploaded said that.
Believe what you want, but the state of Hawaii’s records clearly indicate Obama was born in Honolulu. That will be accepted as true by any court unless and until the state of Hawaii chooses to dispute the legitimacy of the documentation it gave Obama. It has not done so.
I also agree with Oldschoolreformer that this is a waste of time and energy (and credibility) that conservatives could be putting to more constructive purpose.
