I quoted you, here it is again -
I dont mind saying that we could use a few more Republicans like McCain.
I think that there have been more slanders against McCain in this forum than at DU. I have never seen so much garbage in my life. Stuff that is absolutely false.
I will say this. unlike many other ‘conservatives’ mccain did oppose the pork and many of bush’s big spending programs such as the prescription drug benefit and ethanol subsidies.
Wow. Wait till she goes to Europe and tries to figure out a metric one.
Simply amazing that any sane human being would think that the Gov needs PR advice, when it is clearly MSNBC who needs it.
It is they who made fools of themselves with this manufactured “story”.
I hope Gov. Palin has a good memory...cause for some of these folks...well pay back will be a bitc#.
I already said and I’ll say it again I bet the only mention this gets on Fox is if they mock MSNBC for it. And even though I’m no fan of BOR I’ll bet money he flips out on MSNBC over the stupidity of this story.
People in this country are spoiled. They never have to get their hands dirty. When the excrement hits the twirling blade, there will be millions of zombies walking around trying to figure out how to find food with no supermarket in sight.
And stupidity- do they not realize in order for a turkey to end up on the Thanksgiving table it first must be killed? They write this crap as if killing turkeys is wrong. It probably works with their audience that thinks meat just appears in the grocery store by magic. It reminds me of a little girl that told me once she would never eat a dead cow while eating a hamburger. Her excuse was she was only 5 years old. Says a lot about the dims.
Do those little kids getting the hamburger Happy Meal at McDonalds know where the beef came from?
I don’t think anyone really knows...
I’m rolling the eyes at certain people’s remarks.....some of you have no backbone, no conviction, no spirt, and no guts. The MSM can say “boo” and you would jump like a scared rabbit.
LOL! i would rather have a dead turkey behind palin than the turkey about to be in the white house;)
This is only a “potato” moment for vegans. This could give her the news cycle tomorrow a.m. through Friday night Kimmel and Leno. Surely Letterman will touch it, but he said last night that Palin “aroused” him. (no kidding)
Honestly, I don’t see this as a bad thing at all. I see it as a little media manipulation.
The VAST majority of Americans still eat turkey next Thursday - not Tofurky.
Sorry, but I saw the piece and laughed my ass off.
I was 9 or so when HST first pardoned the Thanksgiving Turkey and ever since I was old enough to really ‘care’, I have been looking for the Pol with the gonads to NOT pardon a Thanksgiving Turkey.....
Whatever happened to “Les Nessman”?
His ‘bombing’ Cincinnati with frozen turkeys is still a highlight.....
They weren’t frozen.
It is an imperfect moment in a gigantic ocean of politics. It doesn’t matter.
Roger....
Just ‘researched’ it and found that it was a take off from an event that started in 1945 or 46 in Yellville Arkansas..with turkeys being dropped from the Courthouse roof and went to dropping them from a low flying airplane...Animal Rights groups made them stop the practice in 1989.
As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly /classic WKRP moment
You could be right. However, McCain did not do himself any favors with regards to this campaign. I also think that most people did not have McCain has their top three choices for President. I will say again that I must have been insane to say such a comment. I was a Romney supporter and think that the election would have gone differently if he would have won the primary season.
