“great time to buy a pick up or SUV.”

I bought a Tundra by Toyota made in Texas, and a Ford Mustang for my daughter made in Canada. Great deals.

Screw ‘em!
The company I worked for went bankrupt (Ch 11) and was able to streamline to survive. Cost me in future reduced wages and lost retirement way beyond $1 million. But the same incompetent management and labor unions remain. Would have been better to close the place up and start a new company.

Those Tundras are awesome aren’t they? Hope you enjoy it. I also have Toyotas, but much smaller than your Tundra!

I went by the local GM dealer and counted seven (7) unsold 2007 model pickup trucks. They aren’t selling the new ones either. How they pay the light bills is beyond my understanding.

This bail-out is nothing more than disguised protectionism. That only made the Great Depression worse.

Kill this giveaway in the cradle. We are all going to be living in cardboard shacks before this is over. Call your Congressman, Senator and president. Kill it. Drive a stake through its heart. The government is out of control and the UAW would take us down to a watery grave with it.

I looked and looked at lots of trucks - my buddy sells Chevys and Dodges - he would not let me buy a dodge - he has seen how I use them on the farm. I really liked the F-250s as a replacement for my old one but my independent mechanic talked me out of it. I drove the Tundra and was amazed. I had to take off the girl tires that came with it (sorry ladies) and put on some BF Goodrich T/A KOs. I use it down on my farm and it is strong. I have only had to turn on the 4x4 once. It came no frills and the regular seat was uncomfortable. I got a new one (electric) in nearly perfect shape from a junk yard for $200. Same material. Same basic shape, Same color. Bolted right in. Had to run 12V - no big deal. Much more comfortable.

Until I bought it I had no idea it was made in Texas. In any case, I guess if I had to pick between Canadians, Mexicans, or Japanese - I pick Japanese.

They are actually pretty nice people and living in FL you get really tired of the Canucks pretty fast. Mexico - ah, NO.

I found an article you can read—

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122592993592603103.html

After unions spent more than $400 million on the election and mounted massive voter-turnout efforts for Mr. Obama, they’re inclined to push for bringing the Employee Free Choice Act up for a vote early next year, believing they have a narrow window to get it passed. They’re worried other issues could emerge to eclipse the legislation, and that business would have more time to mount opposition the longer action is delayed.

“Call your Congressman, Senator and president.”

My Congressman, a Reagan Republican and therefore great, was just defeated by a DemoSocialist airhead who was better funded. She completely distorted his record with a barrage of lies in TV ads. She won by a wide margin. He voted against the $700 billion bailout.

One of my senators is a DemoSocialist, and the other is a RINO. And finally, calling “my” president is impossible since he died in June 2004.

Obama’s objectives are to destroy capitalism, freedom, and rip up the Constitution.

Meanwhile, back on planet earth, Obama has a bullet proof majority and plans to increase taxes on everyone you just mentioned, to fund handouts to his supporters. Kindly wake the frack up.

If 70% of Americans would like to end the federal income tax, and if they speak up, it will in fact be eliminated.

Yeah, that's going to work just about as well as the illegal immigration amnesty that is coming down the pipe next year. 85% oppose it. Care to put down a wager that it won't pass next year????
