You misunderstood the line.
The standard FReeper reply refers to how there IS no definition of “conservative” that everyone agrees upon. Usually, it reults in name-calling and trying to out-right-wing the person you’re dissing. And it’s a reflection on how conservatives will never unite under one banner again.
No reflection on you, personally.

I am a republican because I agree with this statement:
Government is supposed to protect us from each other, it is never supposed to protect us from ourselves.
Is this a Reagan quote?

We need someone to lead the party.

Whoops...I did miss that...Thanks for the clarification. I just spent 10 minute re-reading the Davy Crockett account on Charity and Congress. Very appropriate in these days. But I fear we are too far gone. We are bailing out everyone in site. http://www.theadvocates.org/library/christian-crockett.html

"I will tell you how...if you believe the governement should be accountable to the people..." I stopped right there. That makes you a Conservative, not a Republican. Today's Republican party has abandoned the original intent of this country. They have become the slow road to tyranny.

I am a Republican becasue I'm too lazy to start a real conservative alternative to the moderate sell-out organization I currently belong to.
If we don't go hard right, I'm gone.
Harsh truth ping.

Arnold Schwarzeneggers claim to being a Republican is rather shaky right now.
I would think the credentials of being married to a Kennedy and kissing the hinder of Global Warming would have caused some doubt prior to the present.

I believe in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability or the lack thereof.
Seriously, I'm tired of taking it in the shorts because I'm not a minority, sexually deviant, too young or too old, or in any way disabled. Why am I always getting the short end so that someone else can get an artificial "leg up" on me? The biggest disadvantage in America today is not fitting into any particular victim group.
Shut up honky. Just keep working and paying taxes.

Rush won't take the pay cut, and he uses words the Dems don't understand.

We need a modern day person(s) like Davy Crockett. I re-read his famous speech and story. (see link above)
To fix this...It will take starting out in the classrooms of our kids to raise a new generation of “right” thinking adults. How did we get here...relativism...being taught in the school. “There really is not right or wrong...everything is relative” It is being played out in CA right now on prop 8. We are in rapid decline and must begin the u-turn. Another place to start is with our booming Hispanic demographic.

I’d settle for Ron Paul with a national defense policy transplant.

The very idea of government schools with a non-local curriculum is ridiculous. No wonder the damned things have a body count. It's Lord of the Flies 9 months of the year, forever.

Id settle for Ron Paul with a national defense policy transplant.
Strict Constitutionalist ping!

I Am formerly
a Republican Because The once grand old party abandoned its own, and America's, founding principles.
Time to build a principled party that truly belongs to conservatives:
