I’ll stick with my Chevy Silverado until GM goes under, then I’ll travel to Mexico and buy a Toyota Tundra that was made in San Antonio. HA!
The Jetta is a great car. These vehicles will be available to the media for a ride and drive on Nov. 20 at the LA AUTO SHOW.
That picture sums up what life will be like in America after 4 years of Obama.
I’m liking both the Saturn and the Jetta. I don’t care about the “green” aspect. I care about commute. I’d consider getting a hybrid just to get in the HOV lanes to work. I always swore I wouldn’t do an SUV because of the amount of miles I commute. But that Saturn gets good mileage.
If I can’t swing that, the Jetta looks good and kind of roomy - decent sized for getting kids in and out of car seats in the back.
Good. I know when we were driving it around it received a great deal of interest from people. It’s entrance into the market was delayed, which is par for the course for VW. I don’t know anything about the BMW, but hope to get a ride in it one of these days. I thought the price of the Jetta wasn’t half-bad. Having driven and owned just about all makes of cars over the years, VW has always been my favorite. Not because my husband’s in the biz, either.
As an aside, I recently bought a 2005 F150 4x4 with extended cab( and the V8 engine & low miles), and love the truck. We badly needed a truck and picked it up for a song. Great ride, and it can do everything we need it to do. I don’t need it for commuting, so the gas mileage wasn’t a big concern.
I’ve driven all of these vehicles. May the US benefit from this technology and finally get to the point where we can tell those who wear towels on their heads and smell like goats to go pound sand.
300 horsepower and 3,500 pounds are my lower limits!
“but it looks to me like George Barris”
No way, I haven’t seen him since probably 1960 but he’s in his 80s.
Ron has been on this thread. He particularly enjoys the Flintstone car.
Ive read the threads, watched the video and I assume by Greene we mean environmentally friendly. Since it appears to me that all 5 of these cars run off of gas or diesel
What is the MPG?
I don't think this would pass the emissions test.
