I thought his legislation was idiotic. Here we have men we depend on to defend our country and he feels the need to legislate dirty books?

There’s a large segment of society who do not believe in equality, they are way past that. They want South Africa and the freedom to do whatever they can get away with.

That's what worries for me. With them, you have to pass an equality test. If you believe certain things you are demonized and less equal.

I'm concerned about the other issues, too, don't want to obsess about just this one but am grateful the Congressman brought it up, hope it got in the Congressional Record.

You know - I looked into this statement by Obama, thinking I could make some hay of it.

However, I have a thing for intellectual honesty, and this isn't what he was calling for.

What Obama was asking for was something like a highly-trained peace corp that could go overseas to places like Iraq and do a lot of the civilian-related activities the military is doing but maybe shouldn't be - like building schools and infrastructure, training teachers, etc - in countries like Iraq.

Could he turn this force around and use it domestically? Sure - but I'd be more concerned about him doing the same thing with the ACTUAL military than a bunch of faggy Peace Corp types.
