This morning I had the pleasure of seeing two companies of Marines surrounding the Iwo Jima Memorial. I was on my way to work when I witnessed this event.
It really set me up for a great Monday!
Semper Fi, Marines, and God bless all of you!

Happy Birthday Marines. To USMC Freepers past and present.
Thanks for your service with special mention to those who got ‘Murtha’ed and ‘JAGged’.
I’ve had occasions that I served with Marines, and aside from being a bunch of Jarheads, they were pretty decent folk. :)
I will hoist an extra one in your honor.

Thanks Kelly.
The Marine Corps has survived for 233 years because it carries out the will of the U.S. President, without question or complaint, regardless of the human or materiel cost.

Gunny Hartman from Full Metal Jacket (former Marine R. Lee Ermey) said it best:
"Today, you people are no longer maggots. Today, you are Marines. You're part of a brotherhood. From now on until the day you die, wherever you are, every Marine is your brother. Most of you will go to Vietnam. Some of you will not come back. But always remember this: Marines die. That's what were here for. But the Marine Corp lives forever. And that means YOU live forever."
Semper Fi and happy birthday Devil Dogs!

I think Eleanor Roosevelt said it best when she said, The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!

I hope you're joking because that was a picture of Robert Ryan and Chuck Bronson from Dirty Dozen. Ryan was the Marine. He was a drill instructor.
To: Old Teufel Hunden
Yes, I know Robert Ryan was a DI and I've seen the Dirty Dozen so many times I know the dialog by heart.
I believe Charles Bronson was in the Army AF.
