Heard the same noise about permanent majorities after Clinton won in 1992. All this hype goes out the window when Hussein nearly destroys the foundations of our economy and we get a GOP congress back in 2010.

Been around awhile. I’ve heard it all before.

Dems are not capable of governing. Where ever they have complete control, they create a mess. Cities include Washington, DC, Philly, etc. States include Michigan, California, etc.

FYI, the only elected officials on Bambi's economic council are the Gov of Michigan and the former Mayor of LA, two bastions of fiscal responsibility.

when Hussein starts self-destructing

It's time to release the transcript--if not the video--of the White House meeting with the President Bush, John McCain and Barry Hussein Mohammed Soetero Obama, a couple months ago, W.

Let the dhims see what a masterful negotiator and uniter Barry Soetero is!

If these nuts believe this they’ll be out of power in the Congress in 2010.

Not if they fast track citizenship for 20 million illegals.

The only times in the last century that one single political party gained total control and held it for more than a decade was from 1932 to 1946 and 1920 to 1932.

As we know, 1932 was the second year of the Great Depression.

1920 was during the aftermath of the Great War and the League of Nations.

2008 comes close to neither.

In a democracy there is no party that will rule permanently or else it is not a democracy anymore. The liberals are deluding themselves if they think they can change the fundamentals of our Republic.

I can very easily see this being true.

The new illegal alien voters.

The big gov’t give aways. Once 51% of the people are on the dole, it all over.

The (the dems) will always be picking the Repub nominee since we now have Same-Day-Registration. This will happen BIG TIME in 2012 and beyond.

Conservatism takes hard work ... Americans don't do hard work ... they want it eeeeeeeeeasy. Americans don't want to have to face the difficult moral challenges of self reliance, freedom, and liberty. I see it every day. People who put in a "tough" 8 hour day think they just built the pyramids. 41 hours in a week is a loooooooooong week. Two of my friend's (hunters and shooters) wives voted for "0" because "I want free healtcare and I want the fatcat rich repubs to pay for it!"

The problems America will face for the next 4 to 8 years will be blamed on Bush. Some prosperity will eventually return which the dems will take full credit for, and the memory of the financial meltdown will be used for the next 20 to 30 years to defeat Repubs at all levels.

Its over folks.

Maybe your great grandchildren might see another Repub president, but he/she will be more like a liberal leftist then a moderate ... conservatives will be relegated to the history books.

Enough of this term “progressive.” Socialism does not bring progress.

Just like the over confidence and arrogance that WE were spewing after 2004. And don’t think I’m pretending I wasn’t one of them....

Politicians, Republicans and Democrats, better start to figure out that its not about THEM. Every four years we get a choice between two men. Sometimes (Regan) was get a unambiguously great choice. Mostly we get to pick the lesser of two evils. Same for congress, etc. The (temporarily) winning side thinks it has a mandate when its often only won by default.

What I see in this country is an electorate that is just about ready to say “a pox on all their houses.” If the Democrats do not address the issues that people are concerned about very, very, quickly they are already in big trouble and their reign will unravel faster than the “Republican revolution” of 1994.

And the only issue that matters right now is the economy. Period. Full stop.

We are in “interesting times.” Dangerous times. There is room for real reform. There is room for a Republican resurgence. There is also room for a complete disintegration of the existing political order and the rise of a truely radical anti-democracy movement too. When you don’t address issues like immigration, the erosion of our industrial base, etc. you leave the door open to people offering radical solutions....

And the way they will succeed in building this majority is from all the idiots on our side who have agreed to “unity” and “reaching across the asile”. In other words they have gone to the other side, as usual. And the kool aid flows and flows.

Yes, and the way this works and ONLY way it works is if we cooperate in “unity” with them. Face it, many former conservatives now want to be Leftists. They demonstrate it by calls for unity with those who openly declare a “Permanent Leftist Majority”.

How do we defeat it? Bankrupt them. Play their game and overwhelm the system with demands for handouts while cutting work and taxes to a minimum.

It crashes the Socialist model every time. Now if we could just quit being so stupid as to engineer it ourselves and fail them. They depend and count on the producers to make their Marxist utopia work.

“...exit polls...showing that Democrats hold a significant edge over Republicans on the issues on which most voters based their decision on Election Day...”

Most of the people who voted for Obama have never experienced a Democrat single-party Administration. They have yet to see total ineptness in action, or experience the double-speak such an administration babbles to hide their mistakes!

If the rats pass amnesty for 30+ million, it WILL be a permanent majority...forever.

This issue will be pushed hard from the beginning and only the remaining pubbie senators can filbuster to stop it. No doubt juan mcinsane & lindsey lightshoes will join their fellow rats to pass it. It looks bad for the real Americans....

My thoughts exactly. Probably one of those leftist public relations "marriages."
