I’d be inclined to disagree. In my administration, I’d certainly have an office for a guy like him, because every White House needs a bagman, but I’m not sure I would want it to be the Chief of Staff.

No reason for an attack dog to deal with Republicans. I wouldn't be surprised if he's there to deal with clown like Pelosi, Reid, Frank, the whole bunch. Ideology aside, Democrat Congressional leadership is incompetant. If I were Obama, and he's not stupid, I'd realize they need to be replaced or whipped in line.

What is Modern Orthodoxy?

Modern Orthodoxy is a term used to describe observant Jews who dress pretty much like anyone else (with some exceptions) and who participate to a large extent in their surrounding "secular" environments. The term "Modern" is used to distinguish these Jews from Hasidim, who wear a distinctive garb and are more insular.

I have done the research; I still think is an oxymoron.

I discern a "self-righteousness" and an attempt

Rahm does not see fit to pay his fair share of property

I see political activity as any human activity outside of Leviticus 19:18.

To believe that "political" is only that which is practiced
by politicians is naive and ingenuous.

I believe Rahm belongs to a class of people that Yah'shua rebuked in

I don't necessarily agree with you regarding MO, but in a political sense that's irrelevant, it's a religion forum thing. Clearly ones religion, or lack thereof, informs political decisions and is important. As I've noted for years, the hateful offshoot of Christianity fostered by Rev. Wright concerns me. As does the Nation of Islam, and much of the Christian Identity movement .

But what you're expressing here a are essentially denominational issues. There's nothing in MO, or Reform, beliefs incompatible with political office. Which is the issue. Attacking him on this can nullify other legitimate criticisms.

I believe Dennis Praeger (reform) and Michael Medved founded an MO synagogue in southern California, I wouldn't reject them for that.
