Is the “Republican” party really a “Conservative” party?
Isn’t there a real difference?
It is a mixture, since we opened th big tent, Gays republicans,... flood in. There has been this power struggle. if we have more participation, we can again clean it up.
The GOP Platform overall is conservative, but do Republicans stay true after they get in office? Often no!
We need to support principled Republicans. I have had many wishy washy Republicans who want me to endorse or help them, I turn them down. No time to waste.
If we fail, maybe it’ time we form out own party, though the chance of winning is even smaller, at least in the beginning.
Much more can be said.
In hindsight, we should not had counted on the PUMAS, though a % of them did side with us.
We need to activate & tai more people to Digg earlier, which is one of many ways to get people involved.
I stoll find many apathetic conservatives, who whiles or criticize more than actual helping.
Obama got a vast machine that works in the grassroots level.
After Sarah being trashed, I want to scream, shame on your staff trashing the running mate who lifted up your boring, half-dead campaign!
Shouldn’t we also work on fixing the primaries ‘system’ so we don’t have 2 purple/blue states going first and giving the wrong candidate momentum?
So if they want to keep putting the same losers up..we should organize a political safari and target the RINOS. Any ideas on the most effective way that we can do this?

You are exactly right. The fact that it is politically incorrect on the right to call Bush the socialist/globalist he is has hamstrung conservatism and truth in general. I’m not so much talking about here on FR or the internet in general but politicians and pundits. We owe a debt of gratitude to Sarah Palin and Joe Wurzelbacher for making ‘socialist’ an everyday term.
Amen to that. I think something good will come out of this. The GOP needs a major overhaul! Sarah could be an impetus! It’s a fight for the soul of the Party !
It’s a fight for conservatism. If we can’t buck the GOP establishment elites we have to create a grassroots exodus to a new party. Conservatism works every time it’s tried. Real conservatism has broad appeal that cuts right past the middle and deep into the Dem base. Reagan proved it. Prop 8 in CA proves it. Bobby Jindal proves it. Sarah Palin proves it.
Frankly, I need to pay more attention to check out Bobby Jindal. How good is his communication skills, in range of 0-10, 10 meaning Ronald Reagan. LOL

Both of her parents are school teachers. Sarah attended four colleges and has a degree. She has five children, one graduated high school, one is about to, one will in a couple of years and the other is in grade school. Do you seriously think she doesn't know Africa is a continent not a nation?
