Fox has 129 EV’s for McCain and 207 for Obama. Fox has more than CNN for McCain. CNN has been stuck on 68 EV’s for McCain. That being said, Rush Limbaugh said today that they will be calling all kinds of states early for the big “O” and not to listen to the news. Listen to him tomorrow.
“I will continue to fight the rest of my life.
I swear to everyone here to this. Be I the last standing or standing with millions spitting on liberalism’s grave. I am in the fight for life. More committed then ever before.”
I will, too. But not here in Illinois: Staying here to fight is just suicide. I told the wife that if I get laid off soon (which is almost a given now) we’re cashing in, selling the house, and moving back to Dixie, where there are still some people who love liberty and individuality and have the will to put up a good fight. Staying here in Illinois, in the belly of the beast, is no future.
Sarah Palin is finished. She’s been Dan Quayled.
No trolling me please - I’m not a troll.
I have NO IDEA who/what the “Stupid Party” or what’s left of it will run for office either in 2010 or 2012. No idea. But Sarah Palin it ain’t.
Don’t stop him... He’s on a roll!
Fail more at apt analogies, please.
Thank you.
I don’t have a good history with vodka.
Saranac India Pale Ale. I highly recommend it. I have six empty soldiers, but fortunately I took the precaution of buying a twelve pack. I do not recommend alcoholism, but, frankly, at this point, I cannot think of a better response.
Agreed! Please stop providing written fodder for the Daily KOS; a weapon to be used against us. The media is - THE MEDIA. The exit polls are - EXIT POLLS. I think we would all agree they are both one in the same, so WHY the apparent suprise by their utterly predicatble actions and why the online grieving? Besided underlying political agendas, they do what they do to keep you glued to the TV for the onslaught of intermittent ads. Don’t watch: your telekinetic powers will not likely change the outcome anyway. Let’s say “it” is - in fact -over. What is “it”? Just call it a battle in a neverending war, buck up, and move forward.
I survived the Goldwater, Ford, and Bush41 defeats. I don't know if I can survive this one, but I am sure going to try. This is really going to be a country...and party killer. We're in for about 10 to 20 years of really tough sledding over this loss.
This time its going to take a really major systemic breakdown to get the conservatives Republicans back into power. Perhaps I'm wrong and tonight will be different, I sure hope so, but if it isn't we're looking far beyond 2010 for a come back.
The problem with this year is a that we forgot that we had left the liberals in charge of the economy, or at least the credit markets, and they (namely Chuck Schummer) promptly brought them down. Talk about a Pyrrhic victory...this sure was one for the American people. Of course, the sheepeople don't realize that tonight...no they're too giddy over “change” and the “hope” that the millennium will come in the morning. That won't happen, and about six months from now they'll begin to feel the icy grip of the economic downturn as the unemployment rate climbs, but they'll get their severance packages and their extended unemployment benefits and hope that with the Spring they'll come the rose. I suspect though that were, if the Democrats hold true to form, headed for a high stock market on an economy in recession. Not unlike what happened under Carter. So get out your sweaters you're going to need them.
well if we lose we can laugh at those who voted for obama whe they are taxed into the stone age
Uhhhh... I think you failed to note the name “Bluto” Blutarski, Faber Class of 1963, at the top of this thread.
God bless you.
well if we lose we can laugh at those who voted for obama whe they are taxed into the stone age
I want to know one thing. How come with a lead of a couple hundred votes and 4% of precincts in they can call states for Obama but when McCain leads by several hundred in other states with say...35% of the precincts in, they WON’T call it for him? And this is FOX NEW, people! I’m looking at this crap and yelling at my monitor! And I can’t stand McCain’s guts! I LOATHE the media.
“well at least the dems are not getting their 60 votes no matter what happens.”
Yes, but they are pretty close. Maybe Lieberman will cease being an indy and become a Republican (though I doubt it).
This was a bloodbath. And you know who the biggest winners are? The islamic terrorists: They know they’ll now have a guy who said he will “stand with the moslems” and who will pretty much turn a blind eye to whatever the muzz do. I fear for America and I fear for Israel.
That’s right! They haven’t called American Samoa yet!!!
>>Denial just aint a river in Egypt, son. Accept it.
Time to move on, and plan to retake ground in 2010.<<
I think you fail to understand that to a lot of us, there won’t be such an opportunity in 2010. To be honest, I’m not sure there will be even if McCain wins. I said in 2000, when bush won, that all he did was delay the inevitable by four years. Then another four.
This next year will be VERY interesting, no matter who wins, but if Obama does, especially so.
Didn’t Bluto end up being a Senator?
