Obama spent an hour with her when he arrived in Hawaii at night but then returned to spend the next day with her.
Perhaps they didn't want to expose the kids to someone dying of cancer. Maybe the grandmother didn't want them to see her like that. Some people urge their kids to say goodbye to dying or dead relatives. Others don't think this is a good thing.
Well no doubt he did use his family.
But he went to see her last week and she really was dying. To many people were saying inappropriate things about his visit.
It can make our side look like wackos. Ads I have said before, we are better than their side.
The time would have been better spent if the “CoalGate” interview had been discovered instead..
Today’s saint of the day is St. Martin de Porres. He was (I’m almost certain) the very first bi-racial saint. Maybe he can help with her soul.
I don't care how you slice it, Obama could be president-elect tomorrow evening, and it is sad that his grandmother will not be alive - by a little over a day - to witness it. I'm not so heartless as to deny that.
I am sorry to hear this news, and the Obama family has my condolences.
However liberal she may, or may not have been, she was private, and she performed her parental role twice...once for her own, and then for her grandchild when her own daughter was either incapable or unwilling to do so. She clearly loved her grandson and gave him all the opportunity she could.
She cannot be blamed or slighted for this. May she rest in peace and may God in Heaven rest her soul.
Now, what Obama has done with that upbringing and opportunity himself, in wandering in the drug culture, in becoming an abject marxist, and in rubbing shoulders with and hobkbobbing radical and terroristic relationships to a political career is another matter entirely.
Could you please save the political stuff for another thread? Have some respect for those that have passed on, PLEASE.
Condolences to the family.
