As one who worked for YEARS to achieve the election of Ronald Reagan, I would remind those who entertain the notion of voting against McCain, it takes years, and LOTS of work on the local level, to achieve such a change. It has similarly taken the Democrat Party YEARS to devolve to such a point that they could offer a candidate like Obama. Electing another Reagan is going to take YEARS more work and can only be achieved in steps.
Cacique is right. This election is an effort to buy us some time. Time we are going to need to find and develop a candidate like Palin, or Hunter, or some new person altogether.
Brown Deer, that is a very, very thought provoking graphic. It would make an excellent campaign poster.
When it comes to Obama; there is never old news; just possibilities for another’s possible enlightenment.
The fact remains that our Elective choices Nov. 4th offer the lesser of the Liberal evil. We can recognize that there is only one man, who exemplifies courage and integrity - qualities, not to be confused with that of hubris; a characteristic so prominently displayed by the other candidate. There is only one candidate who carries a genuine 'love of country'; and an honest altruism versus the 'other's' ongoing need for vindicating America; and his deep commitment to 'changing' our entire American landscape; history and future history; while he moves to perpetuate, his own self-aggandizement; self-servance and personal empowerment.
We still have a choice; but John McCain is only one we can safely, fairly commit to. America's 'collective' future depends on it.
