If he was adopted by Soetoro, where did that take place. In the US don’t most states require you to go before a judge. Also, wouldn’t his biological father have to agree to have his rights terminated?

My one fear is that Obama produces it any day and then mocks all those “conspiritorial right-wing bloggers in the McCain campaign”.

Hell, if Kerry had been as forthcoming 4 years ago, he'd doubtless be President right now.

All we're asking for is information we are required to have to make a decision that is about as important as any we make in our lives - namely, who is going to lead us? I don't really think we have to, or should, apologize for that.

Yes its legal.
VITAL records, as birth certificates are called are not considered to be public records and Hawaii law stipulates that ONLY the person named on the certificate or their surrogates can have access to a vital record. That is the law in many other states as well. If anyone had access to everyone else’s birth certificate, identity theft would be even more rampant than it already is.
Upholding Hawaii law is why a Republican Governor who has campaigned for John McCain and who has called Barack Obama unqualified to be President has sealed his long form birth certificate.

In our case the mother and father were not married so the mother was the only one who needed to give permission. We don't seem to know if there was a marriage in Obamas case as his Kenyan dad was in what they have called a "tribal marriage"in Kenya. Therefore perhaps only mother had to agree.

We did have to go before a judge to finalize the adoption, but then we were playing by the rules.

Natural Born would mean that he was born on US soil.

I don’t believe he was, BTW- I think he was born in Kenya because Mommy couldn’t get on a plane and come beck to USA in advanced stage of pregnancy.

Law at the time does make Stanley Ann a citizen, but not her son, because she wasn’t old enough for the rules of Naturalized citizen birth at that time. She had to be 19 or older, and at least 5 years in the USA.
She had traveled extensively, and she was only 18 when Nobama showed up in Aug of 1961.

Bottom line- This whole issue of his birth has legs, and more and more so because there is too much of an attempt of a coverup.
All the relatives in Kenya swear they were there for his birth—in KENYA!! They cannot all be wrong, especially when whatever papers are on file in Hawaii are being hidden.

Nobama is many thing, IMO, but Silly over this issue isn’t one of them.

Nobama knows this issue is a very hot potatoe, and he doesn’t want it to see the light of day.

He KNOWS he is not a citizen eligible to be President, and he is going to try and push past that on Nov 5.

The only way to defeat this liar is to vote for McCain.

The part that has me the most worried : Too many people voted in “early voting”...

This will come out on Sunday or Monday and those votes will already have been cast.

As I type this, Nobama has an ad on CBS (college football) and he says the “no new taxes” threshhold is $200,000.

Well, if on Nov 18 any demand does produce the requested “original” and that answers the question about Obama’s citizenship, and that he was not actually “born” in Hawaii, what then if he has become POTUS? Another impeachment process for the Democrats?”

The Electoral College would vote for who is President among the eligible candidates.

I am NOT sure when they meet to cast their ballots. But it’s between the 4th and January 20th obviously.

If you were a Democrat electorate you might cast your ballot for McCain once you found out Obama is ineligible; or maybe abstain; which would let McCain win. Interesting predicament AND an unneccesary Constitutional crisis.

I believe you are right but I think it is the state that sets that not the federal government. That would not come into play if it reads, Barry Dunham “father unknown”.
