As someone who refused to watch Mr. Hussein last night, and having an upset stomach this morning at work, I'm going to admit that I'm feeling a bit better after reading this article. LOL!
I wrote this last night on another thread but just to contrast with The One’s perspective on the country, I’ll add it here:
Ive been re-reading McCains autobio. When I came to the intense days he spent deciding whether to take the offer of freedom from his captors, not knowing exactly why they were pushing it on him (found out later that it was exactly when his father was taking over the asian fleet) but guessing correctly that they sought a photo op for their own glorification, I was stunned by a thought.
There was Senator McCain, ill with dysentary that was potentially fatal, many broken bones, incapacitated. His closest friend, in their coded messages through the walls, told him it would be no lack of honor to take the offer and urged him to, saying that he might not survive in captivity the way he was. Yet McCain, as much as he wanted and NEEDED freedom, decided that doing so would hurt the morale of the men left behind, who should have gone home first but their fathers were not admirals, and also that it would be a coup for the enemy and hurt the armed forces and thus the USA itself. And when he refused this offer, he was so cruelly tied up and beaten that he was left in pools of his own blood and waste for days.
How many of you think Barack Obama would put the USA first like that?? Put up your hands.
I thought so.
A ho hum of the first order. That guy Obama needs to get a life.
The infomercial reminded me of a TV show in the 1950’s called “Queen for a Day”. Hosted by a guy by the name of Jack Bailey there were four contestants on each show trying to convince the audience that theirs was the worst hard luck case of all. The winner was chosen by the members of the audience via a device called the applause-o-meter.
That’s what I was reminded of. Let’s trot out all of these hard luck cases. Obama will make everyone “queen for a day”. What ever happened to “Morning in America”?
LOL!
What a conservative columnist thinks about the informercial is irrelvant since he’s not the target audience.
Who’s consuming all the stupid TV shows, pop music, grocery tabloids, etc.? The author would be similarily dismisive of that kind of fare as well.
did the station run the obligatory message up front...
the following is a paid infommercial when you see the messiah, bow down and send money.
i didn’t watch... thank goodness...

Along with millions of other conservative Christians I was in church on Wednesday evening.
Something tells me we weren’t BHO’s target audience.
I didn’t see a drop or a drib of the ad. I’ve heard a bit on morning radio and also on Fox, but I’ve got no details. So far, everyone seems sort of unexcited about it, barely mentioning it, and the morning radio host is a bit of a liberal.
