On Election Day, Russell says, Murthas biggest obstacle will be the fact that he stepped away from the values of this district. Nope, they're not Code Pink values!

Make a two-fer. Take Obama down too.

Good morning, Smooth. I would just like to caution everyone who thinks Murtha is now toast. His district still favors Dems (especially when looking at registration numbers), and as of very recently he had a half million in the bank. The same with Kanjorski in PA-11. I expect both incumbent Democrats to put up a serious fight.
However, a career Army man doesn't strike me as the type to shy away from a good fight. I think Pennsylvania has the potential to break a lot of Democrat hearts on Nov. 4th. :-)

This is the kind of thing that keeps me feeling negative about Americans. The fact that Murtha even has a chance, is a testament to the stupidity of the voters in his district.

Is his district campaign now getting any campaign ad monies from the RNC to help bring down Murtha?
To: LibFreeUSA
Yes. Both the GOP and Dems have stepped into the fray.

How monumentally stupid and arrogant do you have to be to call your constituents names like that?
Mind boggling.

You are very correct but to the leftist elite we work for them, they no longer work for us and it is their money not ours.

Thanks for the ping, smooth!
People were afraid to sign public documents for fear of retribution.
Same story I was hearing in regard to the Boot Murtha rally 2 years ago. Many locals told me they supported the effort, but we should not expect to see many locals show up out of fear of retribution.

Yes, the The party has provided $84,000 to the Russell campaign to put up a TV ad on local stations this week....
The National Republican Congressional Committee will spend $84,000 on an ad that quotes Murtha's recent remarks calling his district racist - as well as past statements about U.S. military personnel killing innocent civilians in Iraq - and ends with the word, "Enough."
The GOP spot, which is to begin airing later this week, is on behalf of Murtha's Republican opponent William Russell, a retired Army lieutenant colonel.

Hi Justa! I remember that well, folks were genuinely concerned that Murtha would retaliate if they went public in support of Diana. It was truly chilling the fear that creep could generate.

The fact is that most people don’t know or care who their Congressman is, and that most voters showing up in a Presidential election year are voting for a President and the other levers they push are an afterthought.
