Teh cable people squirt in some sort of signal that leaks out, I think 220 KHz? They don't look at your set IF, since it's the same whether you are on cable, sat, or antenna.

I put a spectrum analyzer on a cable and (I think it was) 220 K showed prominently and loud.

Unless you have a Nielson box or answer a telephone poll, they have no idea what’s on your tube.

TIVO reports back, but otherwise watch what you want, ratings won’t change at all, they can’t “see” you.

In fact, there were rumors that some shows had “inflated ratings”, the networks lied about viewership to try to save a sinking show. Katie?

I bet the networks will inflate the ratings like Gore did with his Earth concert- by the real ratings, nobody in England, EU, USA, or Japan watched it. His 3 billion number had to have come from China, Mongolia, India, and interior Africa where there are lots of TVs.

ABC has announced that Obama has been denied the air time in favor of the normal broadcast of "Pushing Daisies". So, you see, it's not an issue in our home.

Trying not to sound like a commercial, but "Pushing Daisies" is a very sweet old fashioned show. Nothing this family freindly on prime time anymore.....

Turned my TV off for the last time just about a year and a half ago. It’s incredibly liberating. I wish I had back the time I wasted pumping that crap into my head.

My blood pressure has improved since turning off the TV. I am not the least bit interested in what the messiah has to say tomorrow evening. I will vote a McCain/Palin ticket on Nov 4th and then come home and pray that the majority of the people in this country will not vote their freedoms away.
