If the Gov of Hawaii has "sealed" his birth certificate...and if it is in the Dept. of Vital Statistics in Hawaii, then...of course, it does exist. If it exists there, he was born there.
A birth certificate showing birth someplace else would not be in Hawaii's Dept. of Vital Statistics.
To me that is, end of story, unfortunately - and as much as I had hoped otherwise - end of issue. Does someone else have an explanation that would mean one state keeps Birth Certificates of people/persons born somewhere else?
OK I was also born in 1961 and things have changed.
School: not sure. Based on My enrolling my 1/2 sister in ‘86. Wasn’t asked for birth certificate only records from previous school. May have had to provide BC at first school.
driver’s license: No the only thing required was proof of age.
Passport: Not sure only one I ever had was required by USAF and they handled paper work.

Suppose she knows the that BO is not eligible for POTUS, but doesn’t want to split the party irreparably and knew that the split would mean certain defeat if she used that info before the election in order to claim the nomination.
So she arranges for Berg to file that lawsuit (Berg is a Democrat and long-time Clinton supporter).
She knew Berg would not prevail. (Why do you think the same was filed against McCain months ago?). But it did make major news and raised questions in a lot of peoples minds. A great setup for her in 2012 if he loses.
If BO wins, she can wait until the electoral college meets and have a crony (or any Republican) challenge and demand proof.
Voila, BO is declared ineligible and she is chosen as his replacement.
If BO appears to have lost, she has destroyed his chance for another run and cleared the way for herself in 2012.
Either way, she wins - if she knows the true facts about BO.
With her supporters and contacts everywhere in federal and state government positions (and those pesky FBI files), I’m betting she knows.
In Hawaii under the laws at that time, a foreign birth could also be registered, therefore just because there is a record, it doesn’t mean he was actually born in Hawaii.

Not true. I am adopted by my mother’s second husband and it shows everything all other BC’s show. The addresses, race, occupation, etc.
The BC being presented on O’s site is bogus, incomplete and rife with error.

If Obama went to Hawaii to settle the matter, wouldn’t someone think to hire a Private Investigator before hand or for the supervisor of the Secret Service detail assigned to Obama to disclose the places he visited if asked?

Hawaii’s Republican governor was a good friend of Sarah Palin’s when Palin went to the University of Hawaii her first year in college. She and Sarah Palin view themselves as the same kind of people and they have been the best of friends ever since. Hawaii’s governor has been very supportive of Sarah Palin both politically and personally FOR YEARS. She and Sarah Palin were attending the same Governors Conference in Texas when Gov. Palin went into labor with Trig this past spring.

If I were O and were not a legal to run for office but wanted to pursue my radical dreams nevertheless, I'd be sure to have a brilliant forgery in place among the official birth certificates long before I ever announced a bid to run.

He was only adopted by his step-father, Lolo Soetero, who was an Indonesian citizen. Thus, the original of those adoption papers should be on file with a magistrate in Hawaii, a copy should be in the possession of the Soetero family who is still in Indonesia, a copy should be on file with the Indonesian government, and Obama’s mother’s copy should be with Obama.
