For me, McCain’s campaign took a MAJOR WRONG TURN when that idiot told the crowd that “You have nothing to fear from an Obama presidency. He is a good, decent man!”

It was at that point that I realized that McCain NO LONGER WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT!

I like the fact that Palin is not a lawyer OR a Washington insider.

And why do her wardrobe critics have NO PROBLEM with BHO’s $1500 suits? Who paid for THOSE?

Or possibly leak that Gov Palin is her own woman to attract some votes. There was another batch of stories of how Gov Palin was going to more directly appeal to women during the last part of the campaign. Maybe these she is striking out on her own leaks are part of that plan?

Obama’s people are predicting he’ll get 400 electoral votes.

That, along with this story, is the proof that they know they’re going to lose.

I’m actually looking forward to election night now.

Has anybody besides me noticed how cheerful and relaxed McCain and Palin are, and how strained and miserable Obama and his whole stinking cult are?

Anderson Cooper tells McCain the only honorable thing for him to do is drop out.

Frum says McCain needs to announce that he’s doomed, and tell us to contribute to all the Republicans in Congress who brought us to the brink of economic collapse.

Then there’s the story of McCain ripping all his demoralized staffers a new collective orifice, because they’re convinced he’s doomed, and only the madman Captain McQueeg still thinks he has a chance.

All of this has convinced me that he and Palin are going to win big.

Whatever you do, vote anyway, even if the press tells you on election day that exit polls show Obama winning all 50 states.

I think we’ve been lied to all along, and Obama doesn’t have anywhere near the support we’ve been told.

The more that Gov. Palin connects directly with the people, the more votes are cast for the McCain-Palin ticket.

Tactically, the fact that Palin is not 100% with McCain is what changed the minds of many FReepers (read conservatives) who were ready to sit home or vote third party or write-in.

By the same token McCain, with his "reach across the aisle" delusions, has attracted many dems who just cannot abide Obama. As leprechaun9 said up-thread, one lever is a vote for both.

I don’t doubt there may be a bit of friction between the two, because I think Sarah is far more conservative than McCain, but to imply it’s at THIS level — no way.

But the novice vice-presidential candidate is partly to blame, the campaign official sniped. "She's an adult. She didn't ask questions about where the clothes came from?" the source said.

Girl can't win.
She takes their advice - bad
She rejects their advice - bad

Isn't the conventional wisdom that if the image makers say you should be seen wearing a certain style, you should trust them.

Get ready for it, and don't let them win...ANYTHING!

Yeah, like she had time to review all the receipts and then question the staff where they had been shopping at on her behalf, all the while cramming for those interviews and the VP debate with Biden. This sounds like the old "we didn't know what we were doing" defense and it's her fault that she did not stop us.

Might I suggest that this unnamed "official" be identified and quickly chucked off Governor Palin's plane while it flies over Pennsylvania. Regardless, I think she's finally figured out that the Bush operatives that McCain has saddled her with DO NOT have her best interests at heart. She's not only the friggin' VP candidate, but she's also the GOVERNOR of a massive state in her own right. She does NOT need these hacks to make decisions for her. I'm glad that she's finally taking over her own destiny.

It would be interesting to know the number of FR sign-ups September & October 2008 versus any other two-month period in this site’s history.

Welcome to FR. Will you be posting anti-Palin articles just until the election, or will you be sticking around for a while?

The people she is not listening to are W rejects. Sounds like a good plan to me. Second they are setting her up to take the fall when Johnny looses - IMHO that was the plan all along.

Now, you’re gonna make somebody mad again. If its those named, hey, ok. What slays me is those longer-term freepers who will come on here now and put hospitality above the future of the nation, disguising their horrer at your list under some lame claim of inclusiveness. Maybe they’re part of the “team” too.

I love this woman. She’s Reagan in a skirt.

I cannot wait for 2012 so I can donate and volunteer for her non-McCain burdened run for the White House.

Putting her on the ticket is the best thing McCain has done in his political career.

Gramps,
That’s Electile Dysfunction. No need to hide it anymore with initials or secret code words. We’re beyond embarrassment in this brave new world. Now, if we could just slip McCain’s advisors some of those pills for Male Enhancement that Smiling Bob is hawking on the tube.
