They call him a socialist for embracing a principle that's rooted deeply in the teachings of the Christianity that they wear on their sleeves but cannot find room for in their hearts.

Glad they cleared up our misconception of the Commandment.

It really reads, "Thou shalt not steal from the rich, and give a cut to the poor."

I can guess how they torure some of the others, too:

Thou shalt not have any gods before me, unless his name is either Allah or Satan.

Thou shalt not kill murderers, but only the unborn.

Thou shalt not covet any thing that belongs to thy neighbor, since the government has first dibs upon it.

Cool. Joe Galloway outs himself as a Democrat, and part of the New Government media...

Is this the Joseph Galloway who co-wrote We Were Soldiers Once with Hal Moore?

Yes. He is also the guy who wrote this:

George W. Bush administration

In a number of columns, Galloway has spoken out against the Iraq War and George W. Bush. In a column on July 6, 2007, Galloway asked why the Bush administration "looks remarkably more like an organized crime ring than one of the arms of the American government?" He further asks what happened to the George W. Bush he voted for in 2000 and who promised to give a government "whose appointees would be honest, upright, fair and moral." On March 13, 2008 he published a commentary titled "When Will It End?" that asked, "[t]he next time that we Americans start thinking about maybe electing someone with no known talent, limited useful experience and an IQ that's barely equal to his body temperature, what say we just leave the presidency vacant and the White House shuttered for eight years or so?"

That's distressing. We Were Soldiers was a truly remarkable book. I knew he had pacifist tendencies, but I didn't know about his antipathy for George Bush.

Don’t understand why you are ruining a perfectly slanted discussion by citing FACTS....
