Well, yes, and I think all of us conservatives agree with you.
However, regardless of that, it is still binary, and this country cannot afford to have Obama and his fellow piggies at the Trough.
It is not heaven down here.
I know dozens of PUMAs who’ve quit their jobs, taken leave of absence from them and are traveling to BG states. In many conversations, there is much opportunity to not only work along side them for a McCain victory, but also bring some of them into the Republican party. Keep in mind, many midwest traditional Democrats are conservative on ALL counts, but just vote Democrat because of their family’s party allegiance. Their eyes have been opened to more than the dangers of a BHO presidency, they’ve seen the Democrat party and their issue positions as tolerable in the past but won’t go back.
This needs to be put on the sidebar so every FReeper and every lurker sees it and reads it.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of 0bama supporters here on the corners in east central brevard county. I give them either a good ol thumbs down, or a bronx cheer if the weather is milder and my windows are down. They look at me like a poor lost soul.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend, so for now, kindly STFU as your comments are counterproductive.
UP here in Maine, wherever I go in the country roads, McC/Sarah signs outnumber the others by about 20 to 1.
It's only in the cities that the obamination signs are prevalent.
That's due to all the "flatlanders" that have moved up, in the past 3-4 decades, from Conn, Mass, N,Y>, etc. The raging libs who move up here to enjoy the Maine Way of living - and as soon as their fancy shoes - or sandals - hit the pavement, set about to change it to the way they came from.
The Maine of my youth was rock-solid Republican. I cannot abide anything but the country anymore...and I love my little haven in the forest. I am becoming hermitized. If the worst happens, I am contemplating getting further into the north woods. The lazy libs stick to the cities - herd animals. They'd never make it out where it takes hard work and independence with neighborliness to survive. In the country, neighbors respect one another's boundarys, but are always ready to lend a helping hand.
The media and the youth vote are downright completely out of their slippers on Obama.
As for Pumas, well, I see this is close to a repent case. They will be the first one purged by Obambi and they know it. After this it will be Rinos and finally attack on GOPs and free speech in general.
Let us face it, part of this Obambi/media thug machinery was built and paid for by Clintonites... before he coopted or stole it for himself.
I hope I don’t have to do that. Computer literacy is not my forte...
I agree. The Democrat Party has left them — and Zell Miller, and Ronald Reagan, and Joe Lieberman.
I read yesterday that the Dems HAVE to deliver O for their black constituents, and if they cannot, they will lose them.
Might be the end of the party.
Here’s how I see it — Courage is not FEELINGS. It is a decision to face what is frightening and give your all to stopping it, whatever you can do, until it is destroyed.
Isn’t this what the Marines do? They don’t wait til they FEEL courageous; they act courageously in spite of their fears.
I have never seen such a clear cut 'separation of the wheat from the chaff' as this election...and I first voted for Ike.
I look at people now who are fervently behind the obamination and see, should the worst happen, the people who would gleefully become the Block Wardens, wearing their Brown Shirts proudly and turning me in for the least perceived infraction.
We that know history - know such scenarios have been repeated in societies for centuries. Some can remember the examples in our own lifetimes. There seems to be almost an equal number of people in any society that will gladly join the side of the oppressor and turn against their neighbors, friends and families.
We defeat this looming evil, or we will live it.
I, to, am now distancing myself from these people and finding new friends among the 'sane.' =
Yep, is a lesson being learned here? - Amazingly rare thing to see. Hopefuly in the future they will be less submissive and not vote implicitly for Obamaesque candidates by calling themselves “first black president” and other nonsense Pelosian rhetoric favoring terrorists abroad.
Never give up!

Yeah, I’m no fan of Hillary because of her domestic policies, but I still think she’s one tough b****, and she would have been not a half-bad Commander-in-Chief. Anyway, the way I see it, the enemy of my enemy is my friend in this case, and if the PUMAs can help take McCain over the top, so be it. Lots of PUMAs in PA and nearby states, so I’m hopeful they will make a significant difference in the outcome. Thanks for all of your help PUMAs!!! Let’s work together now, we can always duke it out later, in 2012!
I just got home and saw this.
You are right about THOSE Republicans; I should have clarified—Conservatives out here—as in US! I thought WE were fighters, but I see so many just giving up.
YES! I have thought the same thing. Now if only he could have that holding-a-baby-up-as-a-shield moment before Novemeber 4.
But, then again, would the media even report it? >:^(
