No one knows better the value of FREEDOM,
than those who have had it violently taken from them.
Esspecially when it's on the line again, this time around right here in America.
.
I hope to translate this into Vietnamese in order to pass along to friends.
Unless you have that already(!)
Remembering Ed Freeman this election season and the flag for which he sacrificed.
Best damned editorial I ever read!! Right on. One Viet!!
Aloha!!
I have never forgotten. Thanks for the perspective. I didn’t know that you were from Viet Nam, though.
Excellent and thanks for posting.
One Viet...Chuc suc khoe!!
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally awesome!
As a matter of fact, it would be so COOL to finally have a minority, an African-American for President. What a great statement that would be to the entire world that the USA indeed is the greatest country on earth!
Who cares? When are we going to get past the melanin content of one's skin, and focus on the content of their character? We all are descended from the same parents.
God is colorblind. He looks at the heart, not at the exterior.
So should we.
WOW!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said. However, one should not think that because God is concerned with the hearts and souls of men that their experiences and circumstances, and yes, even their ‘race’ or ethnicity are meaningless. God often uses the insignificant in order to tumble or stumble the proud/strong... it seems like God appreciates irony, I mean He came here born in a manger in a stable, not a palace or anything ‘significant’ like that.
I m glad I read this. Well said!
Virginia Vietnamese showed up Saturday at the McCain rally in Prince William County. I saw several veterans as well as my old friend Bich, from the Embassy. He became the head of a university in So. Vietnam during the war and had to flee on a log going down the Saigon River until picked up by a boat.
His brother was my interpreter during my trip to So. Vietnam, and their sister was killed by the Viet Minh.
A great, patriotic family and a definite plus for America.
PS: I wore a small So. Vietnamese red and yellow flag. I got a lot of greetings from the Vietnamese and American Vietnam veterans.
This is the real band of brothers.
Well met!
