The thing that scares me is that the new media is in the tank for Obama to get a post election bail out.

TiVos Rogers: Embrace Change, Save Ad Base
That was my first thought. Limbaugh's got piles of money. Let CBS become EIB and only hire conservatives. Let them promote conservative political candidates every bit as blatantly as CNN, MSNBC and all that other vermin do for Obama and the othere liberals.
Kick Katie, David Letterman and all that other scum to the curb.
What a delicious idea!
Now is the time for a conservative to buy CBS and become #1 on MSM
If there could be a MSM conservative media..life would be so beautiful!
A little too late for this election year though! :(
LOL!!! Do you think that the gov’t will send us coupons so that we can buy these mandated contraptions at a discount?
*zing!*
I would fire Couric and hire Palin to do the evening news.....from Anchorage.
Seriously, though, this is Redstone's Nero moment, and I only have one thing to say...(see tagline)
Looks like the concensus is growing. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Heck, we could even change the station name to the “Conservative Broadcasting Station.” Pat Robertson, eat your heart out!

Earnings Preview: McClatchy Co. 3Q earnings

McClatchy to report 3Q earnings Tuesday amid downturn in ads, job cuts, debt
What I would propose is to buy CBS, rename it, fire all the news personnel, then hire people like Michelle Malkin, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Magan Kelly, etc, (if of course if they would like to be hired) and use them as the news broadcasters. Hire some more conservative personnel and start producing a conservative counterpart to 60 Minutes or 48 Hours. Then I'd develop and show family centered TV shows.
I wouldn't have people like Pat Robertson or anyone of his ilk on it either. Rather have more conservative and mainstream preachers like Charles Swindoll, David Jeremiah, etc, on each Sunday morning.
Heck, I'd even have someone start and end every day with prayer like they used to do in the old days. This kind of thing could be done and there is a market for it, someone just has to have to guts to do it. I know I would!
Unfortunately they will probably be purchased by Pravda, or the Red Chinese Army. Through shell corporations, of course.
Nothing will change. It could actually get worse.
“TV Guide went for a dollar. CBS should bring at least two.”
I would buy it. This would be the outcome.
“Good evening, this is the CBS news and I am Rush Limbaugh.”
THEN! They could have Dan Rather forced to read the news, written by Rush!
It would be a dream come true
Kinda like buying a crashing plane just before it hits the ground.
More like buying a taco stand then filling your tacos with crap instead of the beef that the consumer thought they were getting.

More Stock Trouble For Sumner Redstone
When it rains, it pours, especially if you’re over-leveraged Sumner Redstone. Despite Monday’s stock market rally, the share price for his videogame publisher Midway Games hit the skids and lost a whopping 12% of its market value. The maker of titles Unreal Tournament 3 and Mortal Kombat fell 15 cents to close at $1.10. That’s down 67.1% from its year-ago price. As Forbes.com noted, Midway Games had “a doozy of a day” — making Redstone’s really rotten. His holding company National Amusements already had to sell hundreds of millions of dollars worth of shares in Viacom and CBS at rock bottom prices. Forbes speculated Monday that perhaps Redstone was “going to turn around and lend the money to the struggling Midway Games just to keep the company afloat”. Redstone already is said to be in talks with bankers to renegotiate terms on $1.6 billion in debt because of the losses in value of his contrlling shares of CBS and Viacom used as collateral. Geez, it wasn’t long ago that other media moguls were envious of Redstone for having the foresight to invest in videogames — which he once boasted were “the hottest part of the entertainment industry — not for Viacom but for his personal portfolio. Are they feeling sorry for Sumner now? Anyone? Anyone?

Young and restless
By Inside Track | Tuesday, October 21, 2008 | http://www.bostonherald.com | The Inside Track
National Amusements honcho Shari Redstone was mum yesterday on gossip that her 85-year-old media-mogul dad, Sumner Redstone, was being kicked to the curb by his much younger wife.
I dont comment on anything in the New York Post, Shari told the Track yesterday at ESPNs Monday Night Football lunch at Showcase Live. I much prefer the question, Are you ready for some football?
Which she was.
Anyway, Gawker.com reported over the weekend that former school teacher Paula Fortunato was packing her bags and moving out of the Beverly Park manse she and Redstone shared in La-La. The couple, said the Post, have had explosive blow-ups over the past year and had not been seen together recently.
Like the old man needs this right now . . . Redstones trying to rework the $1.6 billion in unsecured debt on his National Amusements holding company. But, then again, when is it a good time to Showcase a divorce?
