I have come to the conclusion that the last REPUBLICAN President we had was Ronald Reagan!
I was a convert from a rat to Republican/Conservative point because of heroic character of Mr. McCain and I love Sarah.

Current GOP leadership and members of Congress have no spine, no guts, and no gonads. They disgrace our Party, our country, our heritage, and our forefathers. Had Bush stood up to Liberals and the media the day he took office, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in today. No one and no enemy respects cowardice or weakness. Sorry to offend anyone, but nice guys finish LAST every time. Obama will destroy this country with the aid of his Liberal cohorts in the Congress. God help us all!
We are now at a point where we could lose not only the Presidency, but witness staggering numbers by the opposition in both Houses. You didn't fight for us, you let us down.
Some will spin this defeat as evidence that the political center has shifted leftward. You will read this and be tempted to further abandon the principles of conservatism. This would be a huge mistake, and a complete failure to learn the lessons of the Bush Presidency.
Bush came into office promising bipartisanship and "compassionate conservatism". Despite a sincere attempt to do just that, the Democratic Party used this to get their way, while a compliant media spun Bush policies are "far right".
The base did not nominate John McCain; the media and the Democrats convinced us that this "moderate" was what the country needed. Now that he's our nominee, they call him a right-winger and treat him as a Bush clone. How many times does this have to happen before we catch on?
What this country needs is a Ronald Reagan. Someone who truly believes in conservatism. Someone who will stand up and unashamedly defend and promote the principles of conservatism. Someone who is an effective communicator and with whom the peopel can identify. Governor Palin is a great example of the success that can be achieved when such a person is selected.
Right on!!
Why should Bush stand up to liberals - he is one.
Bush’s accomplishments:
No border control
Ted Kennedy education bill
Farm bill
Drugs for all seniors
No government agencies eliminated
Government agencies added (like TSA)
Vilified patriots like the Minutemen
Harriet Myers for the Supreme Court
No tort reform he promised for 8 years
No comprehensive tax reform
Congratulates the Dems when they took control of Congress (thanks George!)
Ramadan lunches with Muslims
Complicit with the Dems in extending loans to unqualified applicants (Bush was very proud of this “accomplishment”)
Powell SOS
Rice SOS
US citizenship for those born in Saipan (Red Chinese now fly there for birthing)
Untold numbers of Third World refugees admitted by his administration
Now the Republicans are blamed by Joe Average Citizen for deficits, being overrun by illegals and other foreigners, endless wars of which we receive only their refugees, and now the financial crisis and failing economy. We are also staring an Obama Presidency in the face.
Sure lucky we didn’t get Al Gore in 2000 aren’t we?
That is enough to make you barf, but I really don't think algore would have been much worse.
If the pattern holds true, we can expect a moderate Republican president (Ford/Bush II) to be followed by a disastrous left-wing Democrat (Carter/Obama), followed by a true conservative (Reagan/Palin).
Like it or not, the disastrous left-winger serves two useful functions: waking up the indifferent electorate and energizing the conservative Republican base.
I couldn’t have said it better myself. It is my opinion that you speak for a majority of Republicans who believed in President Bush and our Republican majority in the House and Senate. They let us down big time. We haven’t had a real leader since Newt Gingrich.
I think that McCain, as the GOP candidate in the last debate, made a pretty good contrast between the two parties' economic policies in particular. "Joe the Plummer" served up a convenient example to expound on the basic differnces between socialism and individualism. McCain has also done a good job in contrasting the Republican view on the WOT with the 'Rats defeatism and appeasement.
This is no time for the doom and gloom mentality that some of you guys exhibit. Yes, there have been some mistakes, but Obama and the 'Rats offer only the road to serfdom to Big Brother and the end of the Republic as we know it. Please stop sulking and do whatever you can in these last two weeks to defeat "the Messiah." That is number one priority at this point!

I’m sorry to tell you - Sarah Palin is just for show.
The very people promising that they can FIX the problems of this country, are the very people who CREATED these same problems.
We can make a change - OUR change - on Nov. 4th by not voting for a single incumbent. If it is a choice between an incumbent “R” and a “D” challenger, write in “None Of The Above”!!
Otherwise, we will lose our country and become the living embodiment of the definition of insanity.
I voted all libertarians/independents except for McCain/Palin.
We need to start turning out the country clubbers in our party, and no better time than the present.
And, like so many others, the poster dumps this pile of crap on the porch, lights it, rings the bell and runs like hell.

The problem is what hppens when the elected ones get to DC. Something must be done to change the culture in DC, just like the culture in the UN.
