God does not interfere with man’s free will.

Better to pray for the wisdom of God in all things.

But God is not going to punish us with Obama...that is crazy.... That is like saying, ok America, you are depraved so I want the nation that has spread the gospel to all the world to become a communist, godless nation.

Alot of ppl thought 9-11 was God’s will...!!! No, it was the will of terrorist men. Not God. Then they go in to the permissive will thing. Man has free will. And furthermore, alot that goes on certainly is not God’s will.

I am pretty secure in saying, Obama is NOT God’s will.
I don’t think He would go for infanticide.

Obama’s remarks seem to indicate a man with great doubts about his own self worth and shame over his own birth.

We do not know what his teenage mother might have said to him as a child, to show him he was a gift or a punishment to her lifestyle. His birth did not earn her or Barry the respect or love of the african man who deserted both mother and child

We do know after moving to Indonesia with another man who married her and adopted Barry, she brought him back to Hawaii and dumped him on his grandparents when he was about 10, then left him and went back to Indonesia to raise his sister.

We dont know how nurturing his grandmother was in Hawaii because she has been locked away from any exposure or questioning about her daughter’s lifestyle or Obamas past.

We know his white Hawaii grandfather turned him over to be “mentored” by a “drinking-pot smoking friend” who was black, and also a marxist pedophile/sex pervert

“Frank” then tuned Barry as a teenager into an academic-based network of anti-American racists/communists/drug dealers/pimps and other misfits with ambitions to change the this nation because they hated it

God works in mysterious ways.

Will a plumber, the daughter of two Alaska middle class school teachers, and a Down syndrome baby, remind voters of the moral/traditional values that we have been convinced need to be “changed” by Obamites to “save America’s soul?”

We’ll know soon.

Selfishness and greed lead us to this. God might save us if we admit those sins. It is up to America to repent. I don’t think they will.

Concur. Although unlikely as a revolution is to America, a counterrevolution would also be as likely.

Respect legitimate authority. Don’t get in the way of God’s vengeance and His enemies. Meanwhile, He generally disciplines His own children harshly, while those not yet His still have plenty of opportunity at grace.

IMHO, the only reason He hasn’t brought down the US is that there remains a remnant of believers through which His Plan may be implemented.

His grace is displayed before condemnation and wherever there is condemnation He provides a way for salvation. Additionally, as we approach closer to the end times, the US might become the target of a premillenial “mini-Great Tribulation”. If this might happen, it could serve several divine functions.

1) Discipline of His who have turned against Him so that they might return to Him and confess their missing the mark;
2) Grace to the rest of humanity and the unsaved world manifesting to them that He is still God and controls all things, and that an example of things to come has not been lost upon the whole world. It would gracefully manifest how terrible the Great Tribulation truly will be, although the purpose of the Great Tribulation is in response to Israel’s signing a Covenant with the AntiChrist.
3) Removal of those who are unrighteous from authority and replacement by those who may have been of lesser power into that position of authority.

IMHO, the most threatening thing to many socialists today would be a revival in Mexico with a mass of born again Mexicans flooding into the country. They would be rightfully positioned to take over all American power by fiat and by His hands nothing else would prevail. They would likely seize all socialists and immediately publicly execute capital punishment on them, for they wouldn’t be encumbered with our current laws and would have been encouraged by the socialists themselves to take power.

A VERY BIG preacher mentioned this morning something about “them coming after the Bible”. It’s not that far fetched.

I’m beginning to think this so called credit crunch is a ploy. To get everyone to fall in line is easy when there are no jobs, no money and no food. Man, I’m getting paranoid!

They cannot complete their evil takeover of America as long as Christ stands in their way. Over the past 8 years, attacks on the Christian Church have grown louder and louder. Attacks on God Word, The Bible, have been vicious to the point where I believe under obama, The Bible will be declared hate speech.

Why haven't more Pastors sounded the alarm? The enemy is at our door and soon it will be to late.

You need to understand the times we are living in.
For centuries dating back to Acts, christians have been looking for the return of our Lord. He told us that we would not know the day or the hour, but he also told us to watch for the season.

I don’t know which way this will go, but the results of the election will be a dead giveaway as to how close we really are.

There are only a few prophecies left in the bible that have yet to be fulfilled before the age of judgment and testing arrives. For a long time, I have had difficulty understanding just how those prophecies could come about with a US military presence in the middle east. I knew that at some point, world focus and attention had to shift to the European Union (10 horns) vs Israel.
Particularly, I speak of the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. Look at everything that is currently standing in the way of that project. Do you really think that a McCain OR Obama administration would support such a strong tilt towards supporting Israel over Palestinian rights? NO.
Something big is in the makings. Something is going to happen over there which will give Israel a level of dominance and control of the region that has not been witnessed since the 6 day war. This major shift of power is what will embolden Israel to implement plans (already in progress) for rebuilding the temple. US involvement cannot be a factor, because it must be made clear to the world that it is God Himself who intervened. Since we are Israel’s strongest ally, our position or ability to intervene must change. You need to start thinking along God’s plans and will on a worldwide scale with Israel at the center. That is what the Bible foretells.
His will for our country is only a subset of what He is doing abroad.

It is not that America has sinned and is to be punished, but rather that the level of sin worldwide (including US) has grown to intolerable levels. Overall, the US has been God’s instrument of spreading God’s message of Grace... and as long as we succeed along those lines, I believe that it directly affects God’s desire to wait. However, as Christians in America become more and more complacent and self serving, Judgement for this nation and others draws closer. The fact is that God has already chosen the winner of this election. The judgment has already been made.

What we don’t know at this point is whether that judgment involves an extension of our mission, or an indication that the end of this age of Grace is near.

Then you do not believe the Angel of Death who killed the firstborn children of the Egyptians was the will of God?

No, but I think that he will begin paving the way for the Anti-Christ. Particularily in America.

Please note that I do believe that McCain can still win and I'm not saying that an Obama win is punishment for things Americans have done wrong. What I'm saying is that we can't always understand God's will nor do we have the same perspective, thus it's better to trust God's will be done than to pray for any particular outcome.

Ironically, our Disciple class is studying Isaiah too. When Ahaz became king of Judah, he was threatened by the combined forces of King Rezin of Syria and King Pekah of Israel in the Syro-Ephraimitic War (734 B.C.). Young King Ahaz was terror stricken. “The heart of Ahaz and the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.” (Isaiah 7:2) Isaiah gives the king a message from God, “Take heed, be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint because of these two smoldering stumps of firebrands (Rezin & Pekah)” (Isaiah 7:4) He said they are mere men not God, and to have a “quiet trust”, an absolute trust in and dependence upon God.

Isaiah's times and problems seem so much like ours today.

“...the Christian Church might have to go underground but IT WILL survive!”

If you take every evil regime in world history and combine them, the only threat they have ever been able to muster against Christians is the killing of the body—after which, according to Jesus, “they can do no more” (unlike God who can “destroy both body and soul in Hell”).

Earth is the closest any Christian will ever come to Hell (and the closest any unbeliever will ever come to Heaven).

“Speak for yourself.”

I am. And there is the matter of 45,000,000 dead infants and little outcry.

We had a GOP majority in the Senate and House and White House and we STILL have abortion as the law of the land, massive homosexual indoctrination, and entire generations ignorant of the past.

I’d say Americans have a problem.
