he was great.
i thought it really helped the cause last nite.
and we are down by 6 points?
no way
10. "Hey, heard you mentioned in the debate. Now can you come over and get the hairball out of my drain?"
9. "Joe Six Pack calling; what are you trying to pull?"
8. "Sorry, wrong number. I was looking for Larry the Cable Guy"
7. "Dude -- did you get to meet Fannie Mae?"
6. "This is Sarah Palin, do you consider yourself a maverick plumber?"
5. "You had a better night than Joe the Dodgers' manager."
4. "This is Bob Schieffer. Hijack one of my debates again and I'll bust your kneecaps with a pipe wrench."
3. "Joe, you gotta get a copy of this Late Show Fun Facts book -- it's hilarious!"
2. "It's Brian from The Late Show, are you available tonight if McCain cancels?"
1. "It's Madonna, are you seeing anybody?"
It’s looking more and more like McCain/Palin has this one in the bag.
I don’t think it is in the bag yet but I do think that McCain is really starting to find his legs and has a lot of momentum.
Momentum is key in a campaign and McCain definitely has had a few great days.
Obama will lose this race and we will all be thanking God at the end of the day. If you don’t believe me see my tagline.
He was GREAT at 4 pm taping Letterman, but that was only the opening act. At the dinner last night, he was GOLD, JERRY, GOLD.
Letterman tried to get McCain on the ropes but he just never could. McCain must have some Arizona jalapeno suppositories now, because the guy is on fire.
I used to love Letterman when I was in college back in the early 1980’s. Now I can’t stand him. I don’t even think he’s funny anymore. Just bitter and angry, which is surprising considering how he nearly died on the operating table (as someone who’s coded before, life is very joyful to me).
That is a text book example of irrational exuberance.
Yeah - I'm sure those millions watching Letterman for the first time in years were Obama supporters.

I think the sight of McCain groveling to the likes of Letterman was sickening. Why do Repubs and conservatives feel the need to pander to these nonentities?
Note to self....TIVO SNL. How did he do on Letterman?
I saw him last Saturday and he was just amazine. Relaxed, happy and ready to rumble!
“he was great.
i thought it really helped the cause last nite.”
Letterman has been ridiculing Bush and then McCain nightly and not in a funny way.
No doubt he’ll go back to form on Friday.
I did too. Letterman used to be the “cool” show to watch back in the NBC days. He has become a bitter man and is not funny at all anymore.
Losers do not bring in record audiences (with all due respect to Oprah).
If looking at the whole picture and then putting two and two together is “rational exuberance” then you’re right. I’m one of those “Don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining types.”
He wasn’t groveling; he was having fun. IMO.
Letterman asked McCain last night if he could get Palin on the show. McCain hinted that he might. I bet that would generate huge ratings.
He is on a roll. You should have seen him at his rally today in Miami. Wow.
